Once I run out of free shows, I'll probably have to buy a few from the archive. Those three above sound like a good place to start.

No, it's not ridiculous, because if you listened to the show at all you'd know the production value he puts into these shows are far and away above that of an average "podcast". There is a reason he takes 3 months to record each show; there's a lot of research and preparation involved. He works his ass off for a free product and I have no problem at all with him wanting to charge for some older archived episodes.

EP 41 : Thor's Angels "What started as a standard podcast episode morphed into an audio book on what used to be called "The Dark Ages" in Europe. Dan gets into many areas he should probably avoid...Gods, Germans, bikers, Jesus..." Let the good times role, downloading now, and gunna snuggle into my blankey and listen up. gg gl to all.

You may have seen my fandom of the Mongol period in my various posts around the place here, but I was so very pleasantly surprised when I checked the Hardcore History page today to see that Dan has released the first of his series of the Mongols! YESSSSSSSSSS

it's sad he went from once a month to almost one every three, but it is so worth it once it comes out :D the five part series on the mongolians "wrath of the khans" was some of his best yet. highly recommended to anyone who enjoys history told in a compelling manner
