I'm watching The Wire right now and was surprised to google Dominic West and find out he's English. RADA trained English actors aren’t ever going to be using their regional accents anywhere anyway, they’re trained to sound like they’re from the Home Counties. I imagine the first time you lose your accent is the hardest. Americans don’t have the same history of rampant classism. They’re not taught to drop the accent so early.

Food aisles with foods attributed to other cultures and countries, a la Mexican food aisle at Walmart with tortillas and salsa and packets of taco seasoning, etc. etc.

There's huge Italian and Japanese immigrant populations, so their cuisine is incorporated into Brazilian diets. So the supermarkets had a section of Japanese stuff and a separate section of Italian stuff. I guess Mexican and southeast Asian stuff was elsewhere, if you could find it at all. We generally had to shop around a bit more for other stuff, but we could find Harissa, Tahine and Greek olives. Just had to search for them. I could even find Stroopwafels, but not much else Dutch. I guess this is mostly about the south of Brazil. South Africa has a huge Indian/Malay influence, so that is easy to find there. It's generally completely incorporated into the local cuisine, so chutney will just be with the sauces rather than in some "exotic" section. I have no idea about other cuisines. Oh, and there's obviously deep freeze pizzas in the freezer all around the world.

Only the biggest supermarkets have those things all the time available.

"World food" sounds wierdly wholesome and misleading at the same time to me; I didn't have a clue what you meant till I read on and was clarified. The supermarket near where I live is huge, so there is an Italian section, a Chinese section, a Japanese section, an Indian section, a Thai section, a Greek section and a Spanish section. More recently a Polish section and a Mexican section and a Korean section has popped up so I guess they are fashionable nowadays or something. There used to be a Turkish section but it got absorbed into the Greek section. The biggest section being the Italian, Chinese, Indian and Greek section (there's loads of Cypriots where I live for some reason.)

No, but I assume he's there whenever the camera looks away On May 23 2019 08:41 JimmiC wrote: Depends if you were part of the group that got snapped away. To be fair, those who were snapped have lots of free time on their hands now that they don't exist, and not existing means they don't even care about problems arising, so by GH's metrics they're better off as well.

Thanos' plan was actually idiotic, culling half of life is only a temporary solution, eventually life will have to be culled again, he'd have been smarter to include a birth control clause.

My criticism would be that the MMU didn't address the tons of legitimate problems that could arise from such a crude plan. I'd argue though, as presented, Thanos saved sentient life in the universe, or at minimum, prolonged it's collective lifespan despite the "heroes" best efforts to stop him for relatively selfish reasons.
