User was warned for this post Religion(or atheism) itself has nothing to do with that. N Korea bans everything which threatens their leadership. Religion threatens their leadership, because a large amount of people group up. If a large amount of people would group up and eat shit together, eating shit would be banned.

I think that quote is particularly relevant here. The fact that his own parents have kicked him out is shocking - it tells me that the parents care more about religion than their own offspring; that they value the continuation of their religion more than their own genes. That degree of religious fanaticism is frightening, regardless of the religion (eg is that the required level of religious fanaticism to be a suicide bomber if the religion was an extreme variety of islam instead of christianity?). What's interesting to me is how quickly and absolutely the moral teachings of the religion were dropped the moment those people felt their religion was under threat. It's also apparent many people think that non-christians should just "put up with it", and that it's not a big deal. Christians - what if the shoe was on the other foot? How would you feel if, instead of a christian prayer at the graduation, that you were forced to participate in an Islamic prayer instead? For the record I would personally put up with it for the sake of avoiding social conflicts**, but I'm certain many Christians - advocating that people just put up with the prayer - would not feel the same if that prayer was non-christian. ** note that just because I would personally put up with it does NOT mean I believe others should too; if someone were to object to the prayer I would have no objection whatsoever.

I know.. for once a cop earning his paycheck!! So basically you were forced to hear this little cunt pray... jaxhotmom 4 days ago 75 ^forced to hear this little CUNT pray? sounds like the same hate to me. It's funny cuz he complains about insults he is receiving but he has no problem insulting others. and bro...I KNOW that he did nothing wrong LEGALLY, he has a right of course and he chose to exercise those rights. What I am saying is that this is turning into an atheist vs christian battle that will never end well.

What I am saying is that this is turning into an atheist vs christian battle that will never end well. It has nothing to do with rights. They aren't allowed to do this end of story. It's illegal, it's one of the many things put in place to prevent religion growing into everything adjacent to it. What they did was illegal, end of story. Nothing to do with excersising your rights but simply fixing something that should never have been allowed to begin with. There are good reasons that these laws are in place and you don't make a loophole where by popular choice they suddenly stop working.

There are good reasons that these laws are in place and you don't make a loophole where by popular choice they suddenly stop working. his right regards his ability to uphold the constitution, which states that there shall be a separation of church and state. and like I said I have no problem with him asking for the law to be upheld and it is unconstitutional for the PUBLIC school to hold school sanctioned prayers. I am not sure why you are caught up with the rights thing. It is very much a rights issue. It IS his right to attend a public school where religion is not sanctioned by the school. that is the right every american has. Yes yes calm down, I know the public school screwed up and I am with you on that. But like I said, that is not what I am discussing. It's the blind and hateful bickering between the two groups that I find stupid and pointless. Go check out the youtube videos he and his brother put up. They insult and degrade the "dumb redneck Christians" just like the Christians insult and harass him. Do you understand what I am trying to say? ![]()

I have no problems at all with christians. I'll keep my atheism to myself and do the same with your religion. Everyone wins

He is known as the Eternal Leader, Dear Leader, Eternal President. They have a holy day in his honor, where people go and pay their respects. Basically, he is God in North Korea >_<

The North Koreon people worry about food and health and therefore obey the regime. It has nothing to do with religion. Its a state controlled by fear and not by religion.

It was wrong to force that upon students who were going to a graduation ceremony and not a church prayer. It's not about the kid doing things that are anti social or being a smartarse about it, more about how the school was violating the law. Anyways it's wrong to shove religion down peoples throats, after all isn't that why so many people denounce Sharia Law? can you tell me what sharia law is in your words? i never heard of it

So Christians can do things because of their belief, while a atheist can't make an action for something he believes in? The first two posts in this thread is quite pathetic.
