Note: a number of sources are saying that Beast Master Casey has been suspended for 4 days and that the rat boy was suspended for 21. Look around for more sources please. |
meh everyone with similar stories... the only difference in mine i was knocked down flat and given a concussion and was still suspended with the same punishment as the bully and all i did was tell someone, and proceeded to be taken to the hospital. never even retaliated =/
though whats stupider is that some of the teachers after the event were like so i heard you gave someone a concussion wow... like it was a good thing >.<
that was 11th grade... probably the worst bullying incident i had though, despite being bullied from elementary school and up.
i dunno this whole casey thing is really weird in my eyes, the big kid is getting bullied? everytime i experienced it, it was the other way around.

Actually it's not a common thing in France since I didn't witness bullying in school ether.

Thank you. All I was trying to say (perhaps clumsily) is I've never seen or heard of anything similar to these pro-wrestling wannabes.
Harassment is very real. Physical violence? no.

Wow this same thing happened to me in middle school. Except I beat the kid's head in the concrete. Neither of us told anyone else about it.....because it would make the bully look like a wuss since he was a grade above me, and I'd probably get arrested or something.

Casey had the right to snap Teachers had the right to scorn Netizens had the right to laugh and cheer Adults ought to tell Casey that what he did is dangerous
nobody is wrong really

Been on both sides of this.
I remember in 7th grade, I was teasing this fat oaf because, well, I was an asshole. After making fun of the way he talks, he proceeds to grab my backpack (with it still around me) and swung me around a few times and let me slap onto the pavement. I deserved it and needless to say I NEVER messed with him again.
In 10th grade, there was this tiny, tiny, tiny prick who always teased me. One day, he took my chopsticks (why I had chopsticks that day, I'm not sure). I kept telling him to give them back, asking, but it wasn't working. He proceeded to stick my chopsticks down his pants, pulling up his boxers to emphasize that they're indeed somewhere near his genitalia. I stood up from my desk, socked him in the sternum, and grabbed my chopsticks. I had knocked the wind out of him and he was gasping for about 15 minutes. Needless to say, that asshole never fucked with me again.
I'm going to teach my son that it's okay to punch someone in the face if they're making his life a living hell. Needless to say, my girlfriend does not agree. I said we could always put him in another school... She's not buying what I'm selling.

Just saw the schools reaction. Source would of course be appreciated, googling found nothing.
21 days seems fine for the instigator, but Casey should be giving a plaque and a scholarship. Fucking beast.
+ Show Spoiler +4 days is valid for Caseys case. Even though he was bullied, throwing somebody on concrete should be discouraged

If we went to school together and I kept on calling you a dumb frog every day, what would you call that?? Bullying isn't just physical. Verbal bullying is generally followed by physical bullying

I would probably not give a shit, but then again, I'm not 12.

People saying that Casey could have killed the bully should consider that the bully deserved it. What a baller.

I've not seen anyone missing a limb, that must mean there are no amputees in the world.

If every kid who acts like a douche deserved to die, that would certainly solve the overpopulation problem on planet Earth.

Fuck yes, good for fucking casey. I'm glad that little fucker got what was coming. Damn shame to see casey get fuckin suspended. He should be thanked, because that act he just did, probably solved a lot of issues in his life later on. He could've grown up with psychological issues, and now he never has to worry about any kid fucking with him ever again. Good for him, and I hope his parents took him out to dinner every night of his suspension after they saw that picture perfect technique of counter-bully.

If an adult interfered either before the entire incident - or at least before the snap.
But yeah, evanthebouncy! pretty much sums it up

meh, people who cheer at one person getting beaten by another are sickening imo.
I was the guy who broke up any/all fights in school. I thought it was cause people should do in those situations, but most people thought I was the strange one for not wanting to watch a fight.
I was a relatively bigger guy in my small high school, and was good friends with the only people who were my size or bigger.
In high school, there was a kid who used to talk shit to me all day everyday as he hid behind his group of 5-6 friends who acted like they were some retarded gang. They were all eventually expelled that year due to selling drugs/posession of other illegal substances on campus.
One day the shittalking kid was cornered by another kid he used to talk shit to, but with his friends gone he was in the corner crying as the kid got ready to beat his ass and every1 else laughed/cheered. Even though i hated the kid who was crying, ended up grabbing the other kid and telling him to get to class, he stuck out his chest to me and after a brief stare-down went to class, cursing at the kid crying in the corner. the kid in the corner then gets up and tells me "I was going to kick his ass, but I dont wanna get expelled" and then pushes past me into the locker room. I then just shake my head and get goin to my next class, but for the rest of the year people gave me shit for saving the asshole from getting stomped on, but whatever.
Also in school, I got an award in assembly for being a good kid blahblah the same day i got suspended for hitting one kids head on a wooden handrail.. in my defense it was 2 kids picking on one of my friends (who was about a foot shorter than every1 in our grade) and the kid jumped on my back, as i was wrestling with the other... i stood up and rammed his head into a hand-rail to get him off my back/neck... and then the teacher gave me a suspension after i explained the whole story.... after i got the award she just shook her head as she gave it to me and told me "ur lucky i filled this out this morning and not this afternoon"
even my parents laughed lol... they knew i was not a fighter in any way and knew my friend had a lot of problems with bullies.
also mad props to Casey, he showed a LOT of restraint when the bully kid is stumbling around and he just walks away... if Casey was the bully he would have jumped on the kid while he couldnt stand up. If the bully decked Casey the kid would have jumped all over the opportunity at free shots. If i was a teacher I would have high 5'd casey...
Bullying is the most frustrating/worst thing in my opinion.. one day I caught my younger brother being a bully in school I grabbd him by the neck and slammed him into a locker... as i apologized to the smaller kid. i just told him "This is how he feels" as he struggled against the locker (he has never bullied since) it is literally the worste thing to see some1 picking on some1 smaller/weaker just cause they can.

Retaliation with overwhelming force is justified in this case. Self-defense. Suspending him is unacceptable.

Suspending him is unacceptable? Care to elaborate on that rather bald statement?

The real issue here is that it got to such a point that a victimized individual had to resort to violence to protect himself. There is so much that could have happened before this outburst to avoid such a situation.. I don't really think either party was in the right but at the end of the day i imagine something had to be done. I don't see any problem with Casey getting suspended either; violence should never be the answer - whether this is true or not, it has to be the stance of the school..
It's a shame Casey had to resort to this, and i would never condone it.. But good on him for standing up for himself
