If you got a mic and are looking for a headset around the 100$ mark, save up 20 bucks and buy one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50-Studio-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B000ULAP4U

http://www.amazon.com/Shure-SRH840-Professional-Monitoring-Earphones/dp/B002DP8IEK

You, wont regret it.

If you got more questions, google and read some reviews.

No, seriously, they're worth it. Go earn a couple bucks or steal some lunch money.

This one's pretty decent for an all rounder. Headband design's pretty comfy as well
http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-MMX-Multimedia-Digital-Microphone/dp/B001BYOY42/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1317795509&sr=8-1

You could always get the AD700's and a $10 Zalman clip-on mic.

Look up the steelseries Siberia V2. It's a decent gaming headset with a nice mic in the below 100$ range

I dont like steelseries or razer headsets
anything else

I am not longer sure if you are trolling this thread, just highly immature, or don't know how to use google.

Congrats! I read alot about them and they are supposed to sound amazing! What kind of AMP/DAC setup will you get with them?

Personally I was very lucky that a buddy of mine was getting rid of his Denon AH-D2000 and a tube hybrid amp (Argon HA2), because he was looking for something more portable.

I switched my Audio Technica ATH M50 and my uDAC2 with his setup (which was only 2 months old) and paid very little in between (he decided the prize lol).

So I'm a very happy man right now!

Btw: The Denon AH-D2000 are some really great cans! First really high end headphones (in that prizerange) I have listen to, but the sound is just blowing me away. I've stopped watching series at the evening because I just wanna sit and listen to all my music all over again.
As said, I'm a really happy man

I have only listened for a few songs yet Im getting shivers all over Never ever have I heard something good as this and my older sennheiser HD600's werent bad at all. These are just sick.

Im using Audio-GD NFB-5 amp/dac. It gives like 2W of power, kinda overkill but whatever :D

I have a Logitech G930 and I love it except it cuts out every 30 minutes for 3-4 seconds, not so bad but something to note. The most comfortable headset/headphone I've ever worn.

For pure headphones, I have a stylish white V-Moda Crossfade LP which is constantly compared to the Dr. Dre Beats but is 100-200USD cheaper. It's very comfortable as well, and looks wicked around your neck.

udac2 or fiio e7 would be a good start for hardware.

Pass on the uDac2 and just get the Icon2, its not the best - but for something that small... very nice I use it with the HD 800's, LCD 2's and bunch of others. Doesn't really go well with my Grados on the other hand.

hello people, I am looking into buying a new set of headphones. I bought the Razer Carcharias some months ago, and these were the first headphones I've bought. I used to just use random ear buds or a crappy mic for like $20 lol. I was super impressed by them, and I despise using ipod headphones or anything like that now. Anyway, I'm looking into buying some good quality headphones, but I'm not too sure what I want, so I'll ask a few questions.

Would you people recommend a gaming headset, or just get a clip on mic and a good quality pair of headphones?

If you recommend a gaming headset, I know that Steelseries and Razer are the two main companies, but what about Soundblaster? They sponsor Complexity if you didn't know, and I really like the way they look and how they have a detachable mic. Does anyone have experience with this brand, and are they good?

I listen to a lot of music, mostly metal, so lots of distortion and heavy chords. Idk if this should affect my decision on what type of headphones to get. (MY BUDGET IS ABOUT 100$!!!!)

OH and one more question: is it better to get analog or usb?

Sorry for all the questions guys, but it would help me a lot if you guys could answer! :D TY!~~
