![]() I had one of these at work, it was actually the best chair I've ever sat in. The lumbar support was really different from all other chairs. Really pricey though, but I think you can pick up a used one for 500-700.

After you've determined the exact one you like, you can look for deals online.

It probably hurt your back because you didn't slide the lumbar support to the right location. If anything, you could have tried flipping it around or taking it out.

I use a 50 dollar one I picked up at Staples, along with one of those stretchy cushions for the back that I found at Micro Center ![]()

Says 1 day sale but they've been doing it since labor day weekend. Keep extending sale dates, originally it was supposed to end on 9/8/10 or something.

and if you cant spend to much money it will turn in to a bit of hit and miss, as there are horrendous desk chairs out there in the lower price ranges. definitely sit in a chair before buying.

![]() I can't stand chairs that move around on wheels or turn--I feel like I have better posture and play better when I'm in a chair that is stationary. I'm probably the only person on TL that doesn't use one of those fancy computer chairs ![]()

Unfortunately, I'd either have to retire at 95 to pay for it, or save money by not eating anything for 5 years. Ah, well, my current chair is still quite nice. Had it for 6 years, no complaints whatsoever. The leather is starting to tear, though. =( ![]()

Any chair experts have a suggestion that meets these criteria? - Mesh (no more sweat festival faux leather) - Adjustable - Good back support / posture - Less than $200 ideally - Wheeled OR stationary

We have a semi-comfortable chair at our family computer, but being that its a ~2001 budget E-Machine, and that other people always want to use it I just play on my laptop instead. On a shitty desk in my room. On a shitty chair. Not comfortable.

Do you have any idea how badly you hurt the next day after pulling an all nighter on the sofa? godamn sucks. You slump over and torque the spine so everything is thrown out of proportion. Not a fun feeling in PE the next day.

It's probably sane to stretch every once in a while, not that being hunched on a chair all night is any better.

If you can afford it, you really can't get a better chair for long-term sitting at a computer. You can adjust everything to the right height/ angle to fit you.

![]() I got a Steelcase Think recently and I love it. The armrests are fully adjustable, up, down, forward, backward, in and out. The seat can be slid forward or back depending on your leg length. There is a 4 way knob for recline tension. The seat and back form to your shape with wire support so there are no pressure points. It's not cheap, but I found a floor model for about half price so it wasn't too bad. Also sat in an Aeron and Steelcase Leap when I was shopping, liked the Think the best.
