Me and my friend we're coming up with ID names to play CSS while listening to Pink Floyd..Steel Breeze came from the song Shine on you crazy Diamond, and in time it became Steel. Pretty boring but I like it :3

I was 14 looking for a name to play SC vanilla on bnet. We were studying gods of all types in one of my classes so I chose what I thought was the coolest, Helios. It was taken when I registered on TL, and I forgot my original registration ID, so I went with Helios.Star which is what I used when the SC2 beta started.

there was this one parody song about final fantasy (a game that i sincerely hate) that when like YOU JUST GOT PWN'D F-T-W! and i laughed ass off, latter I typed in pwnsftw for my gamer tag and i was amazed that no one had taken it so i took the opportunity and made it mine.

I had a English teacher that did not like to read sci-fi stories. (She told the class that, just chit-chat before class) and after that i decided to write the most bizarre stories for my creative writing assignments. My theme was cows in space..and it stuck all the way through middle school and high school and was the first thing i thought of when making my account

Ok, so as I get a lot of flack for my use of NEO, I'd like to explain a bit more. Yes, the full NEOtheONE is a Matrix reference, but I wanted NEO but that was already taken. My legal initials are NEO or just NO. I occasionally go by Dr. NO and I am considering getting a PhD so I can actually be Dr. N. O.

I was born long before there was such a thing as The Matrix. So, as far as I'm concerned, they stole my name.

I was registering for TL right now and I go to myself... "shoot. I don't have a clever name thought up... might as well fill out the other spaces first."

I look at the captcha and it says "cents Sitinte". I shrug and plug in Sitinte into the user name box.

A friend and I in AP United States history were totally pumped for the beta release and we thinking about names for us; all my other names just weren't so good (PhilllyDot, utmzeet, sweejay). The names we thought up in class were these random US history stuff that my crazy teacher would blabber about. So we got gouverneur from gouverneur Morris, chocolateboy from the one Pennsylvania coal mine kid, and creditm from credit mobilier of 1872.

My name is a reference to the song I Am The Killer, by the band "Thursday". The song is a form of poetry in that you can take whatever meaning you want from it, that relates to you. Whether it is a loss of identity, failed relationship, or existential angst. The song provokes emotions that we all deal with everyday.

god dammit, i hate my ID altogether, and i cant seem to change it

i made 'firefly' when i was little (like, 12 i think) and i was a fag and thought it was cool, threw the 3 in there when it was taken.
kept it ever since, can never think of anything cooler or original or unique.

In most cases, I use "Rawr" as my ID. It is one of my favorite words, I use it as a substite for everything. You know when you don't know what to say? Just say RAWR, and everything is fine. Silverymoon is just something I came up with when registering because "Rawr" was already taken. Maybe I should start signing my posts with a small rawr at the end.

When i was in 6th grade in 2000 i was an avid sc1 and DII player and always thought the word liquid was sooo cool so i made the name liquidfyre and had it forever until i started playing starcraft 2 and found team liquid in which i had to change my name on starcraft so i didn't look like a fool trying to pose as a tlaf-liquid'er. so now my ingame is Froggi because it's always been a joke that my parents adopted me from frogs. haha yep

Mine's from my WoW days. When creating my first character (a mighty, old and wise orc shaman!) I wanted something that actually sounded orcish, so I used the random generator. Unfortunately, most of the names were taken so I finally found one I liked «Dugro» and I was like «yo, that doesn't even sound orcish. It's not gutteral enough. Let's add a K!».

And I've kept the name for pretty much everything ever since.

My old username on b.net 1.0 used to be LW-emptyness (LW for my clan - Last Warriors) and the misspelled emptyness because emptiness was already taken... and people who name themselves «GenericName123» drive me nuts. I was also 11 and «emptiness» sounded obscure and cool. Aww yeah.
