Zealot: zel as in Zelda + lut as in "hut with a L instead of an H"
That's how I say it, and I'm almost 100% sure that's the way it's said.
EDIT: well maddux is probably right. It's probably my NorthWestern accept or something. So I changed it.

Wow, Pumpkin you got owned.
A zealot(zell-it, but I like "Zeeel" "lot" cause it sounds THAT much cooler!!) is a member of the Jewish community that sought to overthrow the Roman government during 10 A.D.
GG sir.

zealous means to be... over..enthusiastic i guess you could say, so being a zealot would be someone who's really eager, enthusastic or whatever you want =]
so the religious zealot definition people used here is right

Although I say it the correct way, I always liked Zee-Lot above all others.

its zell-ot not zell-it but the 'ot' does sound like 'it'

I say zee lot, because I'm a worthless Korean

actually, English doesn't work that way sir. Neighbour is pronounced 'Ney-bur', not 'nee-ig-hhh-bo-uhr'.
|

if thats true, where the hell does the 'it' come from. zeal-OT. not zeal-IT. me stupid dutch, explain ?
[edit]added a space. TT

i used to pronounce 'pro-toss' as 'pro-tose'. like comatose.
However, after repeatedly being corrected and no valid arguement to support my claim, i ceded to being a sheep.

well since when pronouncing zeal-lit, "zeal" is emphasized thus the next syllable is relatively less emphasized. lit is pronounced shorter and weaker than lot.
|
omg not this again!
it sounds like zel-lit and its not only a ficiton word but it means fanatic.
PS: checked on online speller so no more argues about it -_____-;
