Yep and you are a fucking ass. You must be the new TL pre-teen trash that has suddenly flooded this site. Clearly you do not understand a thing about lifting, or running for that matter Your a fool and i really wish some one would knock some sense into you. Do you think that sumo wrestles are fat? Do you think they are diabetic? do you even know what diabeeeeeeetus is? or what it does too you? For christ sakes you are just pissing me off. Edit your 10iq post. If you are going to start pulling this kind of bull shit in this thread, you better be able to back it up.
Frankly i would guess that you are either some skinny little shit, or a beached whale- that has never been to the gym a day in his life. Your work out for the day is lifting your subway sandwich to and from your plate. That you hope will make you into a skinny and sexy man like Jared lol Or you could be the complete opposite- internet tough guy!
I can 100% guarantee that you would never spout half that shit in your post to anyone's face. You just sit behind your fucking computer and with a hand in a bag of chips type utter nonsense all day long. A piece of advice to you- you make posts like that- and you won't be here long. Take a big dose of humility, and don't act like a pretentious fuck.

well the boxing i can understand, i know for a fact that the P4P king doesn't lift weights. but as far as basketball is concerned i find that extremely hard to believe. and durant may not have lifted weights before, but he probably is right now

Although some athletes may eschew weight training, it has become a widely accepted in training programs for basketball, football, and sprinters (can't vouch for other sports).
If you ever watch an nba ring ceremony, they call out the strength and conditioning coach.
yes i belive u are correct. it was 185...and at the combine. Of course its widely excepted...and im sure most all athletes DO lift weights. Im just sayin that there are many also who dont though...or certain positions for certain sports where they dont.

Yes, I know about Kevin Durant not being able to bench, but that was an isolated case, and now he is lifting. Don't you think that it might not have been such a big deal if "many athletes do not lift weights."? C'mon, think that one through.
As far as boxing, I can't give you citations and proof, and I don't follow it religiously, but I'd bet that some very basic weightlifting is involved that doesn't add onto muscle bulk.
At the moment, my school has 15 varsity level sports, and I know for a fact that every one of them has at least two or three lifting sessions a week in addition to practices, plus games. Some are national champion caliber, some are mediocre and some are bad, but all of the teams do.
One of the things that people don't realize is that weight training actually helps aerobic or anaerobic respiration. I want to say anaerobic, but I can't remember off of the top of my head, and I can't find my source (it was a photocopy of a workout plan my high school coach gave me).

I am not fighting for inc. I don't ever want to get in his way hehe
It's just my 'retard' radar was off the charts with that post. so i had to say something :3

It's cool that he can bench press 500lb, but all of his size definently does not come from muscles. I don't care about that but it's stupid to get angry from facts. Combine weight lifting and durability excercise and you're set + Show Spoiler +before I get flamed I wan't you to know I excercise daily

Yep i am going to call you out too. Answer me this- have you seen worlds strongest man competition?
Do you think that sumo wrestlers are fat?
I am curious to know what you think.
I think that being strong is athletic. Why would it not be? Look at shot putters. Are they athletic? are they 'huge'?

As far as my experience in boxing, martial arts, and mma go, most fighters I've seen do not regularly lift weights. What I have seen many times, and what I did myself, was lift weights and do the whole protein, creatine, get big and ripped thing once. After that the only thing I ever would use weights for would be for building strength in very specific areas (using ankle weights while doing slow kicks, punching with dumbbells, etc). If you keep on getting bigger you never really have a chance to get used to the new weight, and its pretty damn important to be comfortable with your punches and kicks.

An athletic person can excel in any sport they are thrown into, because of a good balance of their strength, speed, and coordination.

If that is the definition of athletic, then the crossfit ideal pretty much matches it. It had always occurred to me that athleticism was simply a way of showing physical prowess. Weather it be running, jumping, lifting, swimming, biking skiing ext. I figured if you were go at any of that, you were athletic lol
But i could be wrong so meh? XD

The answer is Incontrol. The guy has squat over 9000! Sorry, I mean over 800.

Which is still not really the definition of being athletic imo. Surely he is strong as an oxe but I dunno I just think that athleticism involves some running/swimming/jumping whatever.
You don't call tennis players or powerlifters athletes in the same sense as runners, tri-ATHLETES, swimmers etc.

Sorry, the file "your ego" is too big to send to the recycle bin. Would you like to manually delete it?

i like how, when inc comes in, too large posts enter the fight who noone will read anymore
|
Anyone who thinks Inc is fat really has no idea =/
|
|
There's so many posts about iNc here.
I think the only thing to argue here is the definition of athletic. From my point of view being athletic means a very well proportionate body with strong, thin and long muscles... like for tennis players and runners. Athletic =/= strong in my perception.
However, if you count being big and well built and able to do some more or less athletic sports like hammer throw then you can count iNc as being athletic indeed.
I think usually being athletic is usually tight up with agility which isn't that much about being strong.
