It's so much more jumpy than the two first choruses. Got 2 that are decent for my skill level right now though. Also I'm never doing accuracy based stuff I only push my speed to the limits trying to pass hard songs. Once I start passing the very hardest songs out there do I feel like I want to up my accuracy.
I'm the same way. My accuracy increases naturally over time anyway, but I'm not focusing on it till I reach an overall competency level I like.

You know, I haven't tried playing that in a while, I'll see how I do, maybe make a video if I can handle it at all.
EDIT: Nope, still too hard lol.

I haven't tried the extra map for that one yet. I've got 2 passes on the Lunatic map though. Damn fun.
Yeah chipscape is basically just fingerspeed, but there's a part in the middle or close to it with some very fast stream, faster than I could trill atleast. So I basically mashed/trilled like both z+x at the same time and it kinda worked out enough to the point where I would not die, the rest is pretty easy. Yeah usatei is alot of fun.:D Jumps is kind of my weaker point right now I think, working on that What's up, People? That death note theme song, I keep getting close to the end where it really speeds up, like the holds and it gets even more jumpy. So frustrating, but I should be able to pass that song if I just get a slight skillboost.

I suggest you don't play that map. The map is complete shit because it does a horrible job following the song. The only reason it receives so much attention is because of the song itself and that the map is so stupidly difficult.
just curious, I'm only ever playing with classical/some video game music. Are there any packs that have only those genres? I've been searching and building my library individually which is fun, but having a massive stack of new maps would be cool.

<3 osu
True classical music is too difficult to time so nobody makes beatmaps of it.
You can find a bunch of classical-inspired songs from like IIDX though.
It's too bad I've yet to find a good metal song done in osu. I've seen a few, but the maps have generally been really bad (not including touhou metal songs, I consider those touhou before metal)...
That, and there is nowhere near enough good IDM maps out there.

yeah I figured, just by searching manually I didn't find a large amount of classical music.

There is basically no classical music because of timing issues. I've searched a bunch too.

Unfortunately, I'm not a real fan of several of these maps, but they're at least stuff to try.
wow thanks! I had all but two of them and the two I didn't have I don't think i'll get lol
anway, what is the timing issue with classical music? I've played classical piano for 6 years and the beats on most songs are not that erratic that it can't have a beatmap put to it. Most pieces I learned with polyrhythms are by debussy, plenty of chopin/mozart/beethoven/brahms etc to go around.
The problem is that the BPM wanders a lot in classical music. You can't simply set it to a BPM and expect that to work (even if the piece has no changes) for the entire song. This comes up especially in pieces where there are speed changes that the musician performing the piece controls.
Compare the opening for these 2 performances:
These performances would both be an absolute NIGHTMARE to try to time properly.
Also, I just beat both of the score I posted as videos lol.

oh well.
It's way too annoying to find the correct offset in classical songs that nobody bothers.
Also varying bpm is a nightmare to time properly for a majority of osu mappers.
is there any particular reason that some songs use the default osu! skin instead of my skin? like i'll remove pretty much every png out of a song folder and it uses those ginormous 300/100s and the stupidly bright spinner instead of my skin. kind of annoying having to throw my skin files into a song folder to make it work with how often it's been happening to me recently
Sometimes there's a line in the .osu that says something like Preferred Skin: Default, which forces it to use the default skin. The easiest way to deal with that is to rename the default osu skin. Rename your skin folder to default, and rename the sin itself to default. I did that with mine recently, and it worked perfectly.
