I used to be semi-pro in Halo2 I played with the big names, and i went to turnies... I can tell you its a joke. I can teach you to become god at halo in 3 months. In 3 months you can't even come close to CS lol anyone who thinks that halo, HALO 3 especially is a good game, needs to get their head checked.

-does the single player still have infinitely respawning enemies until you reach some arbitrary location that stops them from spawning? - On PC (not sure exactly how different it is from consoles, I assume it like everything else is identical) what are the player limits like? I know the max is 18 per game, but I've seen a lot about only 12 in team deathmatch or something (in fact a lot of people thought 12 was the absolute max).

I heard positive reactions from this rls. Can someone give some feedback? Is this a game like the other CoDs and BF2 aka games for stats-noobs or does it have some competitive clan gameplay possible? Btw I refer to PC version, I never ever play fps on a console.

Go play the game outside of social slayer with the best players, its hard as fuck to get good. The top CS players are good, but so are the best mlg players, and they put in the same amount of time. Hahahahaha they put in the same amount of time, sure probably, does it take the same amount of skill, no reaching upper tier of skill in Halo isn't exactly a hard task, creating a team that meshes well together is the hard part

http://kotaku.com/5403286/what-modern-warfare-2-boycotters-are-playing I played CS on a lan team and traveled all over the east coast attending tournaments all through high school. Shooter communities since the early 00's have been really terrible. The way the CS community used to work will never happen again. It's time to reinvent the genre and IWNET is a good start.

if you measure the "goodness" of a multiplayer game by how much fun it is to people on average then the matchmaking system of halo 2/3 and CoD4:MW 1/2 blow dedicated server style games out of the fucking water "that's because the average person bad at the game" well no shit, in dedicated servers you have to be good at the game to get the most fun that you can out of it.

Not some game that's catered to noobs and that is so limited that you can't even see a big skill gap between a good player and your average idiot.

The more competitive the better. Basically when you've been playing a game for 10 years and you still get shit on by a random korean, that's a good multiplayer game. Not some game that's catered to noobs and that is so limited that you can't even see a big skill gap between a good player and your average idiot. You're measuring it that way because you're good at video games (i'm assuming) and you can have fun playing anything, from Counterstrike to Starcraft to the most noob-friendly game because no matter what you play, you'll win some of the time. Most people like to feel competent, and matchmaking provides that feeling no matter who you are. What you call "catering to noobs," I call "bringing the joy of video games to the masses."
