There are so many things in this game that I assume won't let bullets through that turn out to have zero impedance on bullets. I still have a hard time getting it through my head that those black windows on Highrise won't stop my bullets. | ||

I know they've been done, I've seen them done, I've done them. But how often do you look at a completely opaque "window" and assume that you can shoot through it? Maybe it's the Halo player in me, but when I see a solid object I assume my bullets won't go through it. And I can't help but think that despite the fact you said "hate to be an ass" you're purposely going out of your way to be an ass by bringing the PC vs Console thing back into play. If I cared enough about being a "hardcore PC gamer" I'd have bought it for the PC. Can't we all just discuss the game as is? Seeing as the mechanics are identical across all platforms? | ||

I kind of dismissed it up until now, because I thought the single shot mechanic would suck on an assault rifle. I have to say it is pretty good though, next time I play I'm going to try it using an acog scope. I don't know about best gun ever though lol, but it's fun for a change of pace. | ||

Use holographic sight. Last time I checked, holo'ed FAL is bugged to give you infinite range (i.e. the damage doesn't decrease no matter how far you are from your target). | ||

FAL isn't that good of a gun. Close range it gets owned by shotguns, long range it gets owned by ACR and snipers (unless you use Holo'ed sights). Mid range you get owned by Scars and SMGs. The only reason I like the FAL is that it can hold its ground in most situations but it'll never be the best gun for any particular range. It's definitely a gun to be used with strong positioning and with bling silencer + holo it's pretty darn good for flanking. | ||
