The beacon baisicly makes waves of circular white rings come from you every so often, and you also emit an annoying sound. Edit: Just read thing about making a competitive team. I will say that making a comp team on TF2 is really hard. You have to be amazing at TF2 to be able to win maybe one game out of ten in comp TF2 play. The clan that I am in right now did have a comp team and even though most of them were really good, they were really nothing compared to comp team level players. The gap from people who play it regularly and the people who play it on a competitive level is kinda like the gap from foreigner A/A-/B+ to Korean A+. Yeah, it really is that big of a gap T_T that's not true necessarily the difference between pubbers and a comp player is large, yes, but there's nothing special about the aim of most low level comp players. of course as you work your way up players get better and better, but it's gradual until you reach the very best. the real disparity between teams is strategy and teamwork/coordination. there are lots of players on top teams that aren't that great at aim but play smart, and smart almost always beats pure aim. and yes, this disparity between established teams and new teams is monumental, but not insurmountable. For the 4 mid-top cevo-p/esea-i teams maybe, but aim difference will decide the rest of the games for 90% of the time. There's not a great deal of "talents" for even cevo and esea, you can easily tell who's a great aimer, who is mediocre and who is just bad. And you take that multiply the difference by 5 and you have a team of winners. do you play on a team, goodwill? tf2 is all about playing smart, playing coordinated, organized, and having good strategies. aim isn't nearly as important as you'd think, unless you play scout. Of course I play on a team. I don't know what you are talking about though, there's no such thing as a player who can only aim and doesnt have the experience for teamwork. Good aimers know what they are doing, and thanks to teams constantly breaking up and reform, good players find other good players to play with and drop the bads. Now, who are you and what team do you play on? edit: Oh, and this unless you play scout It's just not true, play some ammomod and you will find out how big a difference aiming makes for all classes except medics; and there are good medics and bad medics as well, but aiming is not a big part of it.

i'm traced. my team is "Argon," basically a bunch of guys i met playing bball and some recruits. since you mention ammomod you should probably know me. not to brag but i'm probably one of the better (though nowhere near the best) duelers that frequent the server and have better aim than a lot of cevo-p soldiers. of course aim is important because it's an fps but it's more of a minimum requirement, the better and better at it you get the less the effective gains become. it's partly because it's a spam/gang up/positional advantage game, and you're not really required to hit difficult shots. there's also how catastrophic deaths can be, and how limited the damage a single person can do, for the most part. there's a reason why many of the soldiers with the best aim aren't considered good soldiers. read anything by anyone reputable in the community and they'll always tell you smarts is more important than aim.

Figure we'd name it something starcraft related, and then proceed to rape our way through cevo-f because we juice up on starcraft before all our matches. I would prefer if the people who show interest would have some competitive experience(at least some scrims or what not-highlander even) but if not no biggy, every game in the world is easy compared to starcraft. Paper it would be nice if we could get that up on the OP so people could see it right away. Thanks Steam ID [US] : The Black Guy or Bac I would be very interested in joining. I'm a decent soilder and medic, can't really help you in the scout or demo area but i would be willing to help. If you want to add me search dan_416 in friends.

I am a pretty decent player, Ive played Medic, Scout, Soldier and some Demo on competitive teams. I am also a regular on Gotfrag and I like playing ammomod every once in a while. I'm down for some get-togethers but if I could field a team with TL guys and start playing in CEVO or maybe even ESEA that would be great. CEVO is coming up shortly so we still have time. Hit me up, Em not Reptile or Jaegern but I think I have something to bring to the table. Steam ID: DrOoo Country: Dominican Republic (but US East is fine) Join the IRC pug channel after you read some guides and watch some replays it is really fun, just remember that sometimes things don't work how you want them to and the general FPS community (Gotfrag basically) is much more immature than the TL community. #tf2.gather.us #tf2.scrim Looking forward to playing with some of you guys that are way out of my league in ICCup :D

Nucleus is a shit-fest of a map and needs to die, whereas sawmill has actually been really enjoyable to play. I haven't tried Viaduct yet, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly suprised. The 10 second critboost that they've added to CTF with every cap is just idiotic though.. ><
