The fact that which weapon you get is completely random is quite gay, I admit, and also the duplicate items are just a fucking waste of time tbh. I've been lucky and only received 1 duplicate weapon, the kritzkrieg, and the very first weapon I got was the huntsman, which is really fun to play around with. Headshots with that thing are epic, especially mid-air. I'm off for tonight, was great fun, and I'll probably resume the action tomorrow | ||

Every 30 min (about) you have a 50/50 chance of getting an item, but even if you get an item there is only a 20% chance of it being an item from spy/sniper update. They say the average person will get 20 items, but my friend has played for 10 hours and only gotten 1 item. Its stupid really. They should make it so that for the percentage of the achievements you unlocked for a class the drop rate of the corresponding item would be the percentage of the achievements you have for the class. But, if you had 100% you would automatically get all the weapons and have your percentage dropped to 50% to avoid item hording. That could also work if you got all the items in any other situation. | ||

Sorry, fps noob here. What does this link mean? Do I copy "http://more.pp.fi/tf2/configs/autoexec.cfg" into my "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<user id>\team fortress 2\tf\cfg" (replacing <user id>)? What are the advantages of this config? | ||

First, backup the entire cfg folder just in case. Then put the autoexec.cfg in it. When you run TF2, it will automatically run all the commands in the config. The config should improve your FPS a lot, but will make your graphics uglier. Make sure you read through the entire config, because there are some launch options you need to input. If you need the FPS boost, but can't stand the bad graphics, find the line mat_picmip in the autoexec and change it to 0. Also, you can see m0re's alias/binds/class configs if you want to get into scripting. | ||

The only class I ever play is medic, and I have all the unlockables. Medic doesn't seem terribly popular on public servers; I guess people want to get more "involved" rather than play a support role. But the number of times I've helped a team win a round is why I like it - you know you're the reason for success! | ||
