I kind of like the new way of getting weapon unlocks. Before people would be spamming the same class in order to get their achievements and use their new precious weapons, but now there's no real incentive for a team to go all snipers of spies, since it won't help them unlock their weapons any faster, nor will they necessarily have gotten all of the new weapons yet.

The fact that which weapon you get is completely random is quite gay, I admit, and also the duplicate items are just a fucking waste of time tbh. I've been lucky and only received 1 duplicate weapon, the kritzkrieg, and the very first weapon I got was the huntsman, which is really fun to play around with. Headshots with that thing are epic, especially mid-air.

I'm off for tonight, was great fun, and I'll probably resume the action tomorrow

This new system for unlocking weapons is stupid.

Every 30 min (about) you have a 50/50 chance of getting an item, but even if you get an item there is only a 20% chance of it being an item from spy/sniper update. They say the average person will get 20 items, but my friend has played for 10 hours and only gotten 1 item. Its stupid really. They should make it so that for the percentage of the achievements you unlocked for a class the drop rate of the corresponding item would be the percentage of the achievements you have for the class. But, if you had 100% you would automatically get all the weapons and have your percentage dropped to 50% to avoid item hording. That could also work if you got all the items in any other situation.

it's ironic how valve discontinued achievements for items partly to discourage farming them when people who never farmed them before are now playing achievement_idle servers rofl.

I left my computer on today for about 10 hours on a achievement_idle server and got the Dead Ringer, a THIRD Bonk Energy Drink, and a second KGB.

Bring back the achievement system ~~so I can farm all my unlocks with bots on the first day~~ please

I would like to know of any interest in forming a competitive tf2 clan. Figure we'd name it something starcraft related, and then proceed to rape our way through cevo-f because we juice up on starcraft before all our matches. I would prefer if the people who show interest would have some competitive experience(at least some scrims or what not-highlander even) but if not no biggy, every game in the world is easy compared to starcraft. Paper it would be nice if we could get that up on the OP so people could see it right away. Thanks

Dead Ringer is overpowered D:

The only class I ever play is medic, and I have all the unlockables. Medic doesn't seem terribly popular on public servers; I guess people want to get more "involved" rather than play a support role. But the number of times I've helped a team win a round is why I like it - you know you're the reason for success!

Agreed. Medic is a really fun class to play, despite the fact that your patients will be doing most of the killing. Medic is all about movement and cooperation, which makes it really satisfying to play, IMO
