But yes that podcast looks good as well. True, but Kil2 is one of the greatest minds and one of the smartest dudes in the game. Sorry I genuinely don't know the guy much so I can't tell if troll, haha. Coincidentally kil2 was watching sard's stream yesterday. Naw, not trolling at all. He's one of the only Alliance Tournament commentators who actually knows what he's talking about all the time, and has several awesome solo PvP vids and some stuff on his youtube channel. http://www.club-bear.com/I highly recommend checking it out. Ty, will do so in a mo'.

Catched Sard's stream for the first time yesterday all the way to 3am, so good to follow small gang pvp without being yelled at
Shame people have so many skill points this days. Even with the flying skill to play at that level, it would take years of training or a lot of ISK to buy an account.

Makes sense no one would actually want to stream their ops, I sort of figured that shortly after I made the post Oh well, you guys should keep making your videos when you have the time, they're rather entertaining. I do so love when you have some TS chat in them, hearing KwarK makes my day. Hopefully come summer I can be called a fucking idiot by him as well.

Actually, a guy called Sard Caid streams quite regularly, almost every day. You can find his stream at www.twitch.tv/sardcaid. He doesn't care too much about getting stream sniped etc.

It's not that big of a deal, really. You can only put so many SP into a single shiptype before you have it maxed. Everything else is training for a different shiptype or crosstraining or squeezing out that extra 2% velocity. I just cracked 70m SP, but realistically I'm only using 15-25m of that at any given time, dependent on what I happen to be flying at the time. For example, if you pick one HAC that you want to max out in, it will only take you around 6-8 months*, and at that point you are just as proficient in that HAC as somebody with 120m SP.
*I pulled this number completely out of my ass, but it helped make my point, so v0v

I meant you won't get in a l33t peeveepee corp like Gunpoint without some versatility. Even in the Hatchery you'd depend on other people being available to scout, link and support. Let alone the eventual mining op.
A 60m SP char is 20bil though, hmm it's itching, how hard can it be? Gotta choose between F1 and F5 I guess.

20b is way too much for most 60m sp toons.

That's what they seemed to be selling around for in the bazaar. I'm liking the idea of going all the way to a nice char, maybe blog about it and shit. Downloading the client.

This is a really good post about an issue that isn't stressed enough imo.
You can only utilize very few skillpoints at one time - even if you try really hard. 99% of ships/roles in the game, you can practically max yourself out in less than a year - and be very very close within 6 months or so. The other thing is that a huge amount of SP goes into skills that enhance every ship in the game rather than specific ships.
If you want a character that can fly every ship like a pro, you are gonna have to spend a long time training or a lot of ISK buying an old account. But you can very easily pick and choose different ships/roles and fly them capably in a few months. You can practically max out a really good frigate pvp character in a couple of months.
