So an ally of the NC had two POS in [Geminate somewhere] that was coming out of re-enforce after being attacked by the Eastern Bloc. The usual NC lemming fleet(s) formed up to go and save it. Meanwhile darkside began harassing all over Vale of the Silent. Now both EB and the NC knew what each other were doing and made efforts to stop one another. Spies were everywhere. Yet nothing can go ahead without a certain third party that was in charge of re-enforcing the node where the battle was about to take place... you guessed it, CCP. So EB sends in a 400 man fleet early and sets up camp waiting to take advantage of the monstrously lag battle about to ensue. NC pleads CCP to re-enforce the node and waits for a response. 2 hours pass as a little over one thousand players from both sides wait eagerly to know whether an epic battle can take place. 2 hours later, CCP replies. The answer is no. Originally EB wasn't too concerned with the two NC ally towers. Sure they had their importance but I believe the real purpose was to lure NC lemming fleets out to be slaughtered. Realizing that such an event would not occur, EB left the scene disappointed. Now NC FCs have two 200 man battleship fleets... and a 150 man fleet of a bunch of random newb crap shit ships that will probably get slaughtered by something stupid and show up in kill mails and kill boards to be spread all across EVE. Anyways, the FCs decide to take this opportunity and look for something to kill. The FCs apologize for the change in plans, but due to CCP's refusal to reenforce the target system, there's nothing they could do except poke around. The fleets are titan bridged to 020-2X (Southeastern Geminate) and we watch as local is emptied of reds and becomes filled with blues. About 80 from Raiden alliance stay behind and chill at their POS, meanwhile a White Noise POS sits around unmanned (White Noise is part of EB). Immediately local fills with smack talk about how the NC has to bring 400 to kill 80. FC reminds fleet not to kill “neutrals” as the glitch remains that makes allies appear as hostile for no reason. A dozen or so pilots are also plagued by another glitch that randomly warps you to some random spot even though you didn't tell it to. Regardless, we keep on. The NC fleets bounce back and forth between the two hostile POS, reenforcing both, disabling their guns, meanwhile losing some ships due to people not knowing how to align, not knowing what a MWD is, or attempting to warp off while humping the hostile POS shields. Veteran pilots facepalm. Raiden gains a couple kills with a brave Sabre running out of the POS to bubble some stragglers while the 40+ Abaddons (battleships) pick them off and a dozen Archons (carriers) standby to provide massive remote reps. A Raiden titan sits around for a while then logs off. The FC of my fleet decides to bring the fleet to save them, but by the time we land on grid the hostiles have already run back into the POS shields. With both POS re-enforced, and hostiles in system and in surrounding systems refusing to enter and fight, we decide to head home. Titan bridged back (you see titans on a daily basis up here), and traffic controlled our way back to our separate home systems. Tally is 6 losses to 0 kills with 3 of them from POS guns (aka, completely avoidable if you're awake and alert). Not bad considering that in a 500+ man fleet you're bound to have some stupid people (I'm guilty). Meanwhile, Black Legion starts hot dropping all over Vale of the Silent. Right now I'm sitting cloaked, somewhere within grid range of a cloaked cyno ship. Still don't know what happened to those two allied towers. I asked around and it seems like nobody really cares whether they survived or not ... both sides just wanted a good fight and we didn't get it. | ||

Tofu and I attacked them with just a rifter but they had a 12 man gang up with arazu, rapier and falcon. I told tofu to warp to me at range while nanoing away and he warped in at 30k, amazingly landing in the middle of the chasing gang. We had the rapier in structure when we got "'cause of falconed" and tofu died. We tried to fight the same gang again in Odde and tofu warped to me at 30k again and amazingly landed on them all at 0 again. The same happened again. He then did it again with a rapier and the same thing happened again. Then vov probed down a drake and cane for us and they turned out to be on a gate... with a falcon. It jammed up 3 drakes again while they all warped out then it cloaked. Also our rifter killed himself under gate guns Local spiked so I called a warpout but tofu didn't feel like it and died again. | ||

First time I could be on the computer for more than 15 minutes and great times were had. Unfortunately I couldn't kill anything because I spent all that time moving about 20 ships to the staging system BUT TS was amazing tonight. So was Gemini really. his naivety is so amusing. Also Tofu dying so much was hilarious. It's like he reshipped only to instantly have a rapier declock at 0 on him. | ||

Addding that to the 2 cyclones and one hurricane (all missioners) that Ive killed so far today, about 250mil has been destroyed and ive made about 65-70mil in loot/salvage. Good day. | ||

The second time, I warped to you from your align point at 30k while you were going 1.2k/s. Surprisingly, this was not as awesome an idea as I had originally thought. The final time, I distinctly remember saying "they're spiking, I'm getting out", and then vov said, and I quote (which I can because I FRAPS'd everything): "do not warp do not warp". We then caught a ferox on a gate and killed it. Then we got the good fight, cane, rifter and two drakes vs cane curse and a mega on a gate. The fight was somewhat spread out over a few minutes and warps but it opened with us trading canes. Abom lost his cane in a valiant effort under curse neuts + cane at 0 + gate guns. Karah arrived at the last second to finishing blow the cane cause I was ewar droned bringing it to 1-1. The curse fled to a planet and Karah got a point on it, his cap holding for long enough for the rifter, drake and mega to arrive. There was an amazing dogfight with constant neuts and ECM drones knocking out our mwds and points as the curse tried to get itself out but one of us always had it for long enough to keep shit going. Excellent communication and teamwork as we kited the mega and kept taking over each others' point on the curse. Finally the missiles took it down and the mega got pointed and stood no chance. 475m destroyed, 60m lost. After loot and insurance we come out substantially ahead there. Pro pirates. | ||

. Ive seen a cane on the gate with a scout 2j out so we headed there and about 1au before we arrived he jumped, so i jumped as well, leaving kwark and abom on the other side. I pointed the cane and he burned back to the gate, then jumped. Kwark and abom then pointed him on the other side when the curse arrived to bail him out. In the next 30seconds abom got neuted dry and died to gateguns, my aggression timer finally went out and i jumped as well, immediately pointing the cane, just as kwark got jammed by drones. Eventually i lost point on the cane and i dont think anyone has been pointing him at that time, but he was in half structure and died anyway, probably wasnt prealigned. Ive then started chasing the curse but ive burned out my point cause he wasnt in normal range and he warped to the station. Both kwark and me followed him, docked up and repaired, then played a bit of station games until he warpped off to a highsec gate. Ive decided to save up on a planet at 70.A few minutes later he warped to the planet, landing 70k from me. He immedietaly started burning towards me with mwd and we got a point on each other. At this point kwark and the rifter undock and warp to me. Kwark arrives just in time and gets a point on curse, when we see the cane guy coming into local, who arrives at the fight scene a minute later in a BLASTERMEGA. Anyway, both drakes have heavy cap problems thanks to the curse, but somehow we manage to keep the point up between the three of us all the time and kill the curse. Now both drakes are at ~10% cap, which is not enough to run mwd or invulns, but the mega doesnt do any damage thanks to blasters, so we just kite him at 34km point range while the rifter keeps him scrammed and finish him off. curse replies to the gf in local "neat" and later asks one of us if we had faction points on our drakes (38km range overheated with links) | ||
