Actually it's you that has no clue what they are talking about.
Faction ammo is worth it to use for AUTOCANNONS as it is due to the high multiplier they get. For artillery? Use Faction ammo all day long, that extra 10 base damage x the 18 multiplier or whatever it is that 1200mm get is more than worth the cost.
Like I said I notice a significant damage increase with my 800mm autocannons. Faction ammo makes a big damn difference with such high multipliers.
What you should be bitching about is an arty fit that has a pimp tank. There is no reason to even have that. Arty fits sit outside of prime DPS range of rats anyway so there is no point to having a Pith A-Type large in there. If he were using autocannons and had to be in their face i'd understand.

IT alliance might be fail cascading right now. x13 and Finfleet issued an ultimatum to the rest of IT alliance with absolutely absurd conditions. Chances are that their ultimatum will be denied and the alliance will fissure within 48hrs.
I am in TEST and for some reason this news is not that uplifting to me. While my alliance is about to gain a large amount of space, I don't really feel excited. The idea of long structure grinds and guarding freighters doing bridges isn't appealing. Even though I've only been on a few large 0.0 fleet ops I can't say I enjoy those anymore. Basically more than half the time a fleet ends up in blueballs or structure grind.
So basically I think this is a sign I think that being a coalition grunt is no longer for me. I think I might courier contract my shit out of 0.0 and to jita then leave TEST and join you guys. Tbh I got interested in EVE because of the Metagamming in Eve thread on TL.

I've started running 4s in my cane. T1 cane. With proper nano and the right hardeners for the mission it's really not that hard.

Faction ammo for lvl 4s is easy to test if its profitable, run the same mission with faction ammo and without, if the increase in isk/hour covers up the ammo cost then you should do it. For arty boats it could pretty easily cover the costs, at least with 1400mm's rof

Forgot for a second he was using arties with the faction ammo argument cause i cant stand using them, I guess it could be worth it in that situation.
When you talk about a 800 mael though, there is no way faction ammo is worth it, could be on a vargur, but thats only because you have half the amount of turrets with 100% damage bonus. With a mael though, you just burn through way too much with 8x 800s. But yeah, im pretty sure you are right about it being worth it on arties, I just didnt think about the maels fit for a second, my mistake.
As for the tank, he really doesnt have that pimp of a tank, he has no cap booster, he has no shield boost amp, all he has is a pith a-type large (which is not worth that much, overpriced on the KB). Im pretty sure thats not that big of a tank, im guessing its for those situations where ''oh fuck they spawned right next to me need to take distance'' or whatever, all that mixed with a bit too much isk on hand.
(PS, i know youre not supposed to use a cap booster with a DS shield booster, im just saying that he only uses 1 tank slow + 3 hards, which still leaves room free for tracking comp + AB, its not like he clogged all up with tank mods)

This never would have happened if he had a Mach. Think about it. If he had a mach with that fit, he would have had the mission done sooner, in which case they never would have probed him, which meant he never would got log off-ski trapped, which meant he never would have lost any isk. Butterfly effect at work. Same case with RF ammo. + Show Spoiler +

Lol, did you read the whole post, he wasnt quitting the game and giving all of his stuff away he was saying he was going to take his assets to highsec and join the hatchery.

Yeah just staying in my corp till some jump freighter pilot ships my stuff out of 0.0. Also I'm taking my pvp ships out and having fun with them.
From running around doing stupid shit with my ships I think that I'm realizing that large fleet battles dont really teach you how to pvp. As such I made a couple of rookie mistakes while running around. Down a rupture and an sb atm. Only killed a sb so far. Pod is stuck in some system in Fountain.
Fountain is kinda in choas atm. There are like 6 gangs of 8 people from each side just rolling around Fountain at the moment. Chances are that maybe 25% of gates have a drag up on them. x13 and Finfleet did infact leave IT. I might have seen more blues than reds in the region but its definitely close to 50-50 so lots of fights atm.

Seeing all those blackbird deaths on our killboard makes me sad =( besides the fail-fit deaths, are they getting the jump on your support ships with covert ops/stealth bombers or something?
Also, work's been pretty brutal, as expected... will still be out of commission for the next few weeks
