Discouraging idiocy comes from fines and public humiliation and I think the corp does reasonably well with stopping people from being stupid given the open admission. This pretty much sums it up. We're a corp for tlers, even the really stupid ones. That means unfortunate things like this will happen, despite our best efforts to stop them. The chat shows that the corp as a whole was extremely competent regarding the WTs, we saw them coming, we knew exactly what they were trying to do and what to do about it. The orders went out and they were very clear.

Recruiting process New players Ask in SCBW for a mentor/21 day trial Get mentored PM kwark on tl for background check (put your eve username in the pm) apply to corp Old players pm kwark on tl with your story Some people have a really hard time with the filter! It comes down to "Push the red button to continue." If they push the blue button they will probably be stuck where they are forever! No one really knows what happens to those people. It's said the gingerbread men eat them. The rest get to move on. They are promised a journey through the stars upon Kwarks sweet spacemobile, potentially with the top down. What more could you want? Filter + Rewards for the successful! Wombo-combo. Also, I'd say that the fact that the corp is for a sites members is pretty important. Like Kwark said. Same concept for my corp. You can use a basic filter to keep the super serious dummies out that would ruin everyones fun, but you can't really call it the TL corp if it doesn't let TL players in. Haha.

It's funny how a group like TL tolerates sub-par intellect when it comes to gaming. You should be ashamed of yourselves User was banned for this post.

Making a new account, coming onto our site, and telling us what our goals should be is unacceptable. Don't tell us that we should want a corp with nothing but top-class pilots at the expense of including the slower or less hardcore members of the community. But if you have any suggestions as to how we could make the corp better without demolishing our goal of inclusiveness, we're open to suggestions.

Ill have to agree with Mot here, you come off as an elitist douchebag if youre being sincere, or a supahtroll (which Im leaning towards after looking at your 3 post count).

What intrigues me more is the purpose of his fit. Meta 4 guns with regular ammo on a semi-faction fit, for less dps than a cane as per EFT? Would make sense to take the 1b, put 350m on a plex for an alt then 150m on two canes, and enjoy more than twice the dps and 500m to spend on exotic dancers?

Id gladly see you running level 4s with 2 canes (alsoprotip, its a plex more per month) Its a normal fit, just the ''i lack SP but have a lot of money'' type of fit (personnally i cant stand artis, i prefer AC) but nothing is wrong. (also, the fact you suggested faction ammo to run level 4 mission just shows you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about) On the global subject, I think the dude with 3 post is mentally challenged, and odds are he is one of the wartarget that though it would be cool to create an account. The corporation is not made to be the elite of the elite at Eve, its made to be a way where new players can start. I am also all in for making (public) fun of people that do stupid shits, but I think the actual fining system is one of the most useless thing that was ever implemented, especially due to the current consequences that are related to ''not paying the arbitrary fine''. For a second we all pretend that we are the very best and that we thrive to become even better, and next thing we know its allowed (and globaly accepted) to stand in a hostile system during an OP in order to kill a fleet member that has not payed such arbitrary fine.

This. I heard about what happened the other night with Tao and that struck me as complete bullshit. I dont know who pissed in who's wheaties but that kind of stuff needs to not happen. Especially with members that have been around for a while and are competent. Mistakes happen. As long as they don't continue to happen they are excusable imo. But what happened the other night was completely over the top and I'd have left at that point had I been there as well.

If you have an issue with it then you are free to discuss it with me. Personally my view is that by refusing to own up to a comparatively small offence he wasted a lot of time and was subsequently kicked from the op. When I ejected him from fleet and closed finder then the message should have been pretty clear. My response when he showed up again should have surprised no-one.

That was going fine until at a later point VoV crashed. We were going into battle at the time so I just reopened finder and told him to rejoin when he could. I was therefore quite surprised to learn that taoi had invited himself back into the fleet and rejoined us after being kicked. It didn't take very long to kill him and didn't especially disrupt the op to do so. As far as I'm concerned that was all there was to the matter.
