Meanwhile, people are still running around shooting each other in the area. E.g. Pandemic Legion (in 3-LJW3) and Morsus Mihi (in H-FGJO) had some recent 100-kill scuffles with the southern alliances. They seem to be there just for fun and "good fights", though. Lastly, Razor and (possibly) Wildly Inappropriate still have their eyes set on Cobalt Edge, former Mostly Harmless territory. | ||

Atlas on the other hand has a rather shaky foundation. I don't expect them to be alive by the end of the year if a serious powerbloc decides to attack them. | ||

Secondly, I have a question about any upcoming wars in the Eve universe. The last BoB/Goon war seemed to have a natural spark to it; Goons were basically griefers from the Something Awful forums who wanted to see elitist pricks like BoB go down, and BoB, being THE Eve alliance, couldn't stand having punks like the Goons tarnishing the game. However, that kind of friction doesnt really exist with the remaining alliances in the game. There seems to be another massive multi-alliance war brewing but is this a manufactured conflict (pvpers just wanting to bust heads for the sake of pvping) or is there some real life hate (like there was in the Goon/Bob war) that is driving the participants? I'm still reading and trying to catch up with all the intricate politics that is going on in the Eve universe. | ||

Coalitions always want more space, and in rare case where they don't there are plenty of people who do want space in 0.0 to call their own. this creates a huge amount of smaller conflicts for regions of 0.0 space. Add to that the fact that you are nearly always at war over border systems by your neighbors (practically by default), add to that the people who merely play for the pew pew (liquid corp and gentlemen's club allience ftw btw) and you have quite alot of reasons for fighting in eve. By the way it's been said before but bares repeating often, join #teamliquid and SCBW chat channels in game and we will answer any questions you have and help you out in any ways as well. we simply ask that you try and tackle that learning curve as best you can by reading guides etc, it's depressing the number of TL members who can't even be bothered to look up basic roles in pvp or understand basic functions of the game. don't be that guy and it's a hell of alot of fun once we get you up and running (about 2 weeks if you rush the right skills). | ||

Notice how despite many groups helping goonswarm take delve + area, almost none of them kept a portion of it afterwards; it they wanted some of that space I'm sure goonswarm wouldn't deny them, given their contribution. (Rich in 'broken truesec' which allows ordinary pilots to earn a lot of money, and 'r64 moons' which generate very valuable minerals which often go to the alliance's wallet.) | ||

Also, after doing some reading, I found out that Razor has given up on their campaign in Cobalt Edge. I remember seeing someone ask Phreeze (a Razor FC, very important in the Delve War) how Cobalt Edge was going, his response: "It's like Vietnam, but less fun." | ||
