Just watching. I would play it but I live in the middle of no where with no competition unless I want to drive for an hour. This is a problem because I have no car.
There were 4 Sagats in SF4 top four if you count Sanford, who used mostly Sagat--though he played Viper, Ryu, and Cammy occasionally. IIRC Flash Metroid beat both Sanford and LI Joe out of the tournament, losing to Justin twice. Rufus vs. Viper is dumb.
In fact, though there were some interesting SF4 matches, on the SF4 stream you mostly heard sounds coming from the MBAA area.
Anybody know if MBAA matches (or at least notable ones) were recorded?

Just ran a tournament for the first time yesterday, turn out was a bit bigger than I expected. ~32 players for Street Fighter IV and 8 for Tekken 6, we managed to get through everything in less than 3 hours.
Dunno if anyone knows them, but here were top 3: 1:Future (BA) $160 2:Tanaka (RU) $40 3: Carlos (Akuma) $20
Next time we run a tournament we're including blazblue so hopefully all of vet coast shows up.
Cool, Arturo got an interview with the girl Arcana player who came 2nd in SBO this year! :O
... I guess he didn't really ask her much, lol. Basically, she practices daily at some big arcades in Shibuya, and she feels that Elsa is a mid-high character while Mei-Fang is generally considered the best character.

Meanwhile StarSlay3r (Ciji) keeps talking in the background. "There you go. There you go." And everyone on IRC wants her to stfu. ^^
Edit:
[21:11] <Humbag> hahaha they are talking to that girl [21:11] <Humbag> and what people are saying about her on here [21:11] <Humbag> lol [21:11] <Humbag> like "they wanna have sex with you"
Too bad that was Keno's girlfriend Teresa (the asian girl) that was saying that and not me. :p Yeah I'm late replying to this but I just saw it. lmao

random scrubby tekken musings: I am fucking awful at tekken 6. we have it in our uni's game room instead of mvc2 nowadays. Pretty much all casual players. Me too I guess, I don't get 3D fighters well enough to say that I'm anything more than casual at it. for a while I kept switching characters between hwoarang and bruce and struggling either way... I ended up on Bryan since I remembered how cheap Bryan seemed when that guy at devestation played him + back when I was 7 and I played tekken 3 with my brother I used pick that Bryan when I wasn't picking Hwoarang. After reading about his top 10 moves and some basic stuff on TZ pretty soon I was massively better than I was with my previous characters but I'm still fucking terrible. I've managed to bring up the Bryan record on the player 1 side of the PS3 from 1-20 from around when I first started picking him to it being 37-34 today... I am the only person here that picks bryan that I know of out of at least 15 - 20 different people that play at various times. But I still have a lot of trouble with basic stuff. I FINALLY got a chance to sit down in training mode alone today, for once nobody was there at the system other than me. I learned a really basic scrubby combo that's better than the ones I knew before (df3 or uf4, db2, 2, 1, b+1 (bound), 334), does much more damage than my previous combos and I can land it off a mid (that jumps lows) or the sweep so it's a lot better than the shitty 2-3 hit "combos" I would do before. For a while Alisa and Lili were my nemesis until I learned to sidestep, now I have a lot of trouble with Eddy. I spent the other part of my training mode today looking at every single one of his moves and memorizing whether it hits mid or low... I have a lot more trouble with him than I should just because his attacks LOOK deceptive if I try to block them based on looks, but I really should just memorize how to correctly block them. I haven't been able to get out of them by spamming sidestep / sideroll at certain times like I can vs. Lili and Alisa. I also need to get out of bad habits that are already getting punished (if I abuse 123 or 3214 too much the end gets low parried by some players and I die). 123 isn't that good anyway too much minus even on hit. I do B+1 too much because I love +3 on block but I get sidestepped sometimes. It's hard to fix these problems when some players just don't sidestep or low parry these things, or they sidestep but then do no punish. But then someone shows up that can do it every time and I get raped because I'm running too much on instinct and I need to start converting what I've learned into more of a though process. I'm slowly fixing both these issues though. I feel like I understand the engine a lot better than I did before. I still don't know what to do about eddy. its like this character was DESIGNED to kill scrubby people like me. I never see any eddy players at the tournament (though I don't enter T6, I just watch some so I can bring back ATL's knowledge to the game room at home). I think that means he's not a very good character, just gimmicky. I suspect he's the "ken" of t6.
ChrEddy is actually pretty good. Capos look really scrubby because so many scrubs jump on it (and even bad capos wreck new Tekken players), but they have a lot of good stuff going for them. There's a stigma attached to the character, though, and honestly I don't find them very interesting (and a lot of people have that viewpoint) so whatever.
im playing bob dragunov and christie, gotta admit capos are not scrubby, ffs i was doing bnb bob combos the first day, some setups with dragunov in a week but i havent been able to master any christie combos yet.. i play mainly offline now that i discovered the "fighting scene" near my location besides i have been told that t6 online sucks so i dont even bother
I haven't played BB in a minute the fighting game scene here sucks so hard I barely find people to play with locally and the groups I joined with people here there's always a few people in that group I just want to knock out... ughh maybe I should really start my own group.. everyone move to vegas lol
