Can anyone give me a basic run down on how to do advanced moving techniques? Just random notations would be nice, for things like Korean Backdash/fast backdash cancels or Wavedash cause I keep on finding random conflicting notations for it and people never seem to put in when the stick's supposed to go back to neutral. Also a rundown on how to do iSW with Lars would be nice, unless there's no real trick and I have to just mash the shit out of f f f + 24.

No reason to "go back to neutral" intentionally, just tap the directions and you'll naturally go back to neutral. For all of these, just find how to do the initial rep slowly and then build up to the speed you want. Wavedash- do DPs. SHOSHOSHOSHOSHOSHOSHOSHOSHO. Think f, df, f, df, f, df... - you're actual execution of it on a stick will probably make it work out. rebellijin's wavedash tutorial (in Korean but he shows the actual hand movement and breaks it down pretty well): + Show Spoiler + KBD- b, b, db, b, db, b, db, b... Don't "slide" between the two (like an SF4 player doing a DP) but just tap the directions... kinda like wave dashing backwards, though the timing is a bit different. Electric sidestep/ESS- [b~db~d]xN. Obviously you can go up instead if you want, same idea. Very easy on a pad, kinda awkward on a stick to sidestep into the background but at least one direction is natural (left to down).... :V As for iSW, you can buffer the first forward input. That's like the only thing I can think of to make it easier. I don't play King/Lars so I can't offer anything more useful than that!

Thanks for the write up MC3 <3 Learning these techs is hard on stick, but might as well start early. I swore to myself I wouldn't play any fighting games on pad. Going back to neutral's not so bad on a seimitsu stick, but hitting the corners is annoying. I'm starting to convert everyone in the random game clubs at my uni to fighting games, hopefully I can get a tekken scene going up here since we already got Blaybloo covered.

also, got my GGPO up and running with 3rd strike. I'mma dabble in that a little but I don't really like it as much as the 2 series. Played sf alpha 3 on dreamcast today at a buddies along with P<something> Justice some weird tekken like game, was pretty fun. 2v1 mode is hilarious. So anyone playing GGPO shit? Some of the games sound neat

Some of the games sound neat i play ST sometimes (14cc is my account), cammy main. i dabble in o. sagat at times but i'm significantly better with cammy, even vs. honda (jchen says cammy vs. honda is 10-0 in favor of honda... i personally would say 8-2 or 9-1. but i can really understand where he's coming from for sure) i'm not on very often when my uni is in session (like now) though because at those times i either have offline comp or i'm very busy

Only played it a few times myself, tho.Did you guys discover that you can interrupt someone else's super by doing your own super? Then you both mash and whoever mashes harder has their super go through. ![]()
