If I understand correctly, it's from a DVD included with the Arcadia magazine for this month. The video has already been posted on and removed from nico. edit: video quality looks like it was taken from nico and reposted on youtube. The actual event was in June (? not sure, before Evo I heard though). The last abel round literally had me holding my breath. thanks for the video.

CvS2 is the only KOF related game I've ever played.I wasn't a huge fan of CvS2 outside of Bison's custom combos, and I have no idea how similar/different the games are. When I played KOF12 briefly for the first time yesterday at the tournament I didn't feel like it was very fun. But I've never enjoyed anything KOF except the weirdass bootleg romhacks where the sound breaks and its kind of like rainbow edition except not as ridiculous and boss characters. And that's just for the laughs. i was so happy when I did this to one of my friends, I think that's in the original non-romhacked SNK game too though, dunno. the first time I tried it I kept hitting the wrong button though and and my character just freezes and then I was fucked.

I mean, I've seen little kids and girls do that shit but older guys aren't THAT dumb. I've seen a number of university students play on our joysticks like that. (Which is why we don't let anyone except our friends use our sticks, now.) So yeah, even uni students can be that dumb. Myrmidon, that video was really good, thanks. ![]()

I actually played a guy in 3rd strike once who was doing his super motion so hard (and so many times) that it actually shook the cabinet. People do the same shit to those dance games too, walking in with muddy ass shoes and getting it all over the machines :< Curse yall making me miss arcades!

Unrelated note: Evo's been over for a while, but I missed this until recently. + Show Spoiler [images] + ![]() ![]() + Show Spoiler [In case you missed the references] + Several players money matched Daigo either first to three or first to five sets. Sabin won 5-4 using Dhalsim, Ryan Hart won 3-2 (although apparently there was a misunderstanding and Daigo thought that was a FT5) with Sagat, and Marn went 4-5 using Viper; all the other players got crushed. Those were TFGM quotes from when he was on the live stream for the 5on5 exhibition I think. Him commenting on his EC players of course.

It seems like KOF12 gets very little play in arcades around the world (if not, I'd be happy to hear of any community really picking it up), and these days it's getting taken over by arcade KOF2002UM. It's just not as appealing to most of the current KOF player base? I guess they're all expecting the large character roster, higher pace, multi-tier super bar, and expanded movesets (i.e. 5-7 specials per character, most of them useless or only applicable in combos) that don't exist in KOF12. So much for KOF rebirth and back-to-fundamentals ideas, even if the game is actually fine. I like watching people play kof more than play it. From what I've seen, KOF12 looks very boring. It feels like everything that is good about the series, rip it out then put in a fresh coat of paint. Some arcades had KOF12 for a few weeks before it was removed. Other than Raiden easy freeze glitch, infinites, horrid online lag, I guess you can say the game is "fine." People who don't play KOF or casually play fighting games might like KOF12.
