Sagat), Guts (N. Sagat) I suppose having an environment with Claw somewhat stigmatized and O. Sagat discouraged especially encourages Ryu play. On a side note, can anybody explain why O. Ken is much more popular outside Japan? Consistently O. Ken is rare, more so than O. Ryu. | ||

On a serious note, that is many Gief, yes. How often is the worst character in the game so common? (to be fair it's only a debatable worst, and that's worst by average matchup, where in practice going even or nearly even with the super-popular Ryu really helps) | ||

Players like me would end up spending the whole match running away and picking our spots. It takes way too long. When I talk to gief players, they don't feel that way because they feel that once they get ahold of someone in a SPD after chasing them the whole game, it feels rewarding to them. If you play Championship mode like I did, be prepared to run into a shitload of gief players. I think it gets better with G2 and G1 where gief players are weeded out. | ||

I think it gets better with G2 and G1 where gief players are weeded out. g-1 they are still there. but they arent larientards so yea i hate gief with a passion to. but g-1 lots more character diversity and everyone just about knows whats going on and is pretty good imo. fun playing chars u dont usually like good vipers, dhalsims, chuns etc. on a side note i was browsing through the evolution forums and found http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=196051 this is based on teh whole gootecks/watts "you just dont know" shit. they apparently had a heated rivalry, grudge whatever u want to call it but i found the truth | ||
