Should just be a "no mod" mode or something though imo 1) Anyone want to explain blood chalice to me? As far as I can tell it's really good on hb/succ/devo as an early item (especially succ wat)? Maybe pretty good on jera/mojo vj? Usable on smith/behe/pebs/acc/dw? I haven't played dota in almost a year so yeah 2) I'm guessing elec solo mid doesn't work anymore without the free mock? 3) Is eng bad now? It seems like he's still okay but just a ganker/pusher now. Also his turret sounds really awkward to place 4) Is rampage super cool now? Does horned strike still have that retarded animation? Can you ult someone then use charge to leap them with you? Can you ult someone then blink them with you? 5) Is gauntlet useful now? How do you play gauntlet/balph anyways? Blink on gaunt and play like a pudge/vs combo? I have no clue about balph tho 6) Also how do you play glad/boatman? In dota I was a pubstar and stacked runed axes so I could oneshot creep waves but I think that's bad I was thinking like shroud+deso+phase or something like that That's a lot of questions but I haven't played in weeks :[ edit: numbered it because that seems to get more help most of the time | ||

2) elec solo mid never worked, it just took some time for a lot of people to figure out the counter (harass like mad, fight for runes or just dont solo mid vs him) 3) engineer is now reasonably balanced. still annoying (read:strong) ult, but hes not a carry anymore and not a 100%-banned-hero. 4)yes/yes/no/no 5)yes/gauntlet is a burst-damage ganker comparable to deadwood or devourer, so portal key is an option but not absolutely necessary since you have plenty slow and stun effects/balph is running around until your ult isnt greyed out and displays a number >80 and subsequently pressing that button. 6) get one runed axe to farm, rest depends on the enemy team. usually its shrunken head or frostburn followed by either more dps or survivability. (demonic, heart, crit, symbol...) | ||

Urn is infinitely more useful with it's heal/nuke and +6 STR. It will always be better because you can opt for a +3/+6 Int item on heroes like Sven and CK starting to fix your mana pool issues (singular slow regen is shit and always will be shit early on). All heroes can use the HP bonus. Wand has +3 to all and a far better active. Bottle gives better everything overall if you need mana on demand. On top of all this, you have so much better item progression into any of the previous items than you have over Chalice/Ring: 1. To progress into Urn - Double +3 STRs mixed into your starting items, or +3 STR/+3 Int, or if you got balls, +3 STR/+3 STR/+3 Int/Salve 2. Into Wand, Trip Branches, or Stick/2 Branches, plus whatever heal For Ring, you have RoR and Sobi, two of the most fucking useless starting items ever. Only time I might even remotely consider going Ring is on Skeleton King where I am playing a massive bait-setup role. Such a shitty item that could have been good if it weren't for the RoR/Sobi set up. | ||

I've tried Soul Ring a great many deal of times but I don't find it very effective at all except on maybe Techies where he needs extreme mana or Ogre Magi. I keep encountering friends who love to use it on every strength hero or somebody with high HP, it's not that great of an item. | ||

I can see it on a THD for a clutch nuke or ice path. WR is no need cause if you're running out of mana that much on WR, you're definitely fucking up. | ||
