I use numpad 4 and 5 for my use items (i vary them around in importance order, for example if I have bottle early game, then later I got dagon + bottle + guinsoo, then Bottle gets away from numpad 4 and 5 and guinsoo + dagon is there). Just because taht's the most convenient for me. Dunno why. Btw. Come play! I wanna see the mighty rpf bracers. | ||

i know there's some programs out there to hotkey things but i've been too lazy to use any of those so far =S i just heard of one called auto hotkey and you can create your own scripts for whatever here's a description of the script someone showed me that got me interested in it: Description: An autohotkey script to be used with DotA. (You must install autohotkey -- www.autohotkey.com) Once you install autohotkey, just double-click this script to run it. The script starts off disabled. You need to hit shift-F1 to enable it, but first you should type in the correct hero-code. For DM games, you will have to retype the code for each hero you get. To enable this script during a dota game: Hit Enter Type +<code of hero> Hit Enter Shift-F1 (Shift-F1 enables/disables the script) Hero codes: four letters (except for Axe), first initial of every the hero class (not name). If the name does not include four words, just use letters from the last word. Some exceptions (consult the script to see the codes) Lord of Olympus = lool Axe = axe Skeleton King = skin Sand King = sand N'aix = naix Necrolyte = necr Necro'lic = nlic Up to date as of 6.49c. q = attack w = hold e = stop a,s,d,f = hero abilities r = hero abilities (those with more than 4) z,x,c,v,b = item hotkeys b = blink on QoP and AM (I always put my blink dagger in the 'b' slot) You can even queue up commands with shift-<key> it seems itd be really useful and it'd be pretty easy to adjust to this. i've just been lazy to install the program and download it. you can find the script here though: http://www.filecloud.com/files/file.php?user_file_id=509257 | ||

i sell TPs only if i need room yes, they share CD with bots, but TPs are faster channeling = better chance you won't die i've had TONSSSSSSSS of situations where i barely got away where i would've died using bots i think it's worth it to carry a TP even if you have BoTs if your hero doesn't an escape mechanism other than bots and the other team is gank-oriented | ||

my inventory is organized such that the close mouse button is my teleport away button (corresponding to mid right, i have no idea the #). regen stuff is top right (a further away mouse button) main item is q (mid left) secondary item is ` (top left) picking a random int hero, usually i'd have like TP on top left, arcane on top right guinsoo in mid left, BoTs in mid right i should really bind the bottom slots but i am too lazy btw rpf, this is as silly as asking what someone's hotkey setup in starcraft is. you have a knack for finding the most useless questions to ask xD | ||
