Banning Pick its called in HoN. (CM is in DotA) 3 bans each, then 1-2-2-2-2-1 allpick mode.

[5] is 9-4 against WHP in our last scrims. I wouldn't say they are better. Testie / Levent` / Tabako / K`T / Blavo / Willdabeast vs Chu` / bkid / warden / fpigs / pig / dodo` we've always beat them more often, and we will continue to do so.

I'm pretty new to this game, so what I'd like to ask is why there's a "he's a noob" stigma to everyone who uses scout?
Is he that bad? Can he be only used for KSing? When I last played with him, I ended up with 2-3 kills, and more assists than anyone else on my team.
I heard some things were better about him in a previous patch (like vanish), but I heard that disarm is somewhat new (which seems to shutdown carries pretty fast), and has silencing tool that can be used for field vision.
Is he a bad character? Is he only good in non-competitive play? What's up with this character?

he isnt a really bad character but due to the fact that by instantly vanishing, and easily farming you are guaranteed a decent k:d this hero is played by countless retards who don't level wards, ( his best skill) and don't use them in team fights once they finally do get wards ( aoe silence)

Scout is a decent character it's just that a lot of horrible players use him to jump in to get kills and fail horribly at using him as a carry.

Interesting... some guides say not to depend on scout as being a carry unless no one else picked one... but that may have changed now that he has a 6sec cooldown on vanish and a 4 attack high speed burst. :o
I've read some guides and what I do now is go level 1 wards then vanish, but is vanish needed early, or should I put points into my passive?

Well idiots scouts try to do burst dmg and fail after they can't sustain their high attack speed and someone with void tali just rapes you ass you just need to equip yourself accordingly.

Shouldn't be too hard, since an invisible character has a bit more leisure when it comes to clicking on enemy heroes and thinking about what he/she is doing. Since the vanish goes after the ulti, is it better to open a battle/gank with normal attack, or target fire ulti on one person? :o
I imagine this is highly situational. If you just need to soften them for your allies, you can ulti, but if it's a dangerous carry, I think hitting him really quickly and activating a disarm is the better choice.

Scout isn't competitive. He's not a team player in the same sense as other DPS heroes. He has a few soft disables (silence, disarm, slow from ult), but he's really weak in lane and has to farm exceptionally to take over teamfights. Fortunately, he's definitely capable of farming very quickly given some lazy opponents, but competitive players aren't known for being lazy.
TBH, I've won most of the pubs I've played as Scout-- which is more than I can say for most of the heroes in HoN-- but that's because pubs don't lane and gank as aggressively as competitive players. So, I'm usually allowed farm a Runed Axe in under 20 minutes and then turn Scout into a 1-man push with 500+ gpm income. And with that sorta income on a DPS hero it's quite easy to take out multiple targets in a teamfight without really trying.
That being said, most people play Scout in ways that make him easy to ignore or counter. The reason people groan about him in pubs is that newer players play him like Nighthound with a frenzy attack. So they'll stand around invis, not farming, and not helping in teamfights unless the fight is already won. They'll rely too much on invis to protect them, so they'll stand around in exposed positions and any anti-invis items will turn the Scout into a feeder. They'll get single-target Orb items like Brutalizer (which just doesn't proc enough, even with flurry) and Frostburn (Scout doesn't need extra chase abilities), or they'll waste money on lifesteal when they don't need it (the only time Scout needs lifesteal is when his opponents are smart enough to get barbed armor). They won't get Electric Eyes, and when they do they leave it at level 1 so they can't use it in teamfights... etc etc.
Anyway: Scout is a fun pub hero and he can do a lot of damage if played correctly. When played poorly, he's kinda worse than useless. There have been occasions where I've had a Scout teammate standing next to a couple enemies and I think to myself "oh, he wants to gank them." So I'll dive into the fray... and the Scout will just stand there, invis, and watch me die 1v2. That's never fun.
