Oops, I assumed they were talking about dota. Now that I look at it, it's obvious they're talking about being perverts. Well, they're still not gonna quit, so my post is still valid.

you might wanna tell them the rules beforehand we can't read your mind moron edit: @testie obviouslyy edit#2: and it doesn't matter that you unbanned him. the ban in the first place was way over the top. and the only reason i feel so strongly about this is a) it's perfectly legit in every possible way and b) you, yourself, have agreed (not remained quiet, but actually agreed, alongside me/cats/heen/whoever else was there) that it is perfectly accepted in our IH games(note i'm not using the word legal since it's obviously legal) to do so.

shit icefrog needs to fix: sentinel tree location (all the top scourge creeps basically go into sentinel fountain) scourge base (it's like twice the size of sentinel's?!) make creeps spawn at the tree/throne -___- so pointless when your rax are gone and heroes are at throne but creeps arent -_-;

the ban would've made more sense if testie announced the rules before the game o-O i dunno why people make a big deal out of all this stuff anyway. what should be the case is: if the map allows it, it's legal. if this creates a degenerate strategy (such as BD, multiple arcanes, ward thievery, etc.) then it's up to the maker to fix it. sirlin springs to mind here. creating extra artificial rules within the game only causes problems. i am certain nobody here has a precise definition for BD (and trust me, it's more complicated than "attacking enemy buildings when your creep wave isn't there")

There are several perceived imbalances that were not solved by the map maker (which makes him noob btw). The ones that enough people agreed on became adopted by tournaments, which is why you get the hero bans, the arcane rings per team limitation, previously the mekansm per team limitation (before IceFrog finally got around to fixing it), etc. Seriously, go read a league's or tournament's official rules. For a well-made game, they'd be "don't use maphack" and that'd be basically it. For this, you get reams of rules. Which is why we're going to have to accept that some people are going to want to play by certain in-house rules. Some people have only been playing with a certain group, so these rules seem "obvious," even when left unsaid. However, when they are left unsaid, you can't really blame the people who didn't know them. So some people like to write out their community rules (like KDA (Korea Dota Allstars) did) and tell everyone who doesn't know their rules to check them out on the website. Of course, not so useful I think. The alternative is to spell them out, and anything else goes. In Korean games, the host almost always says something like "-ap, no techies, no backdooring" or "-ap, no pick luna, backdooring only up to 2nd level tower" or "no rules" which means exactly that. Default is "no rules" if the host says nothing. If you want to host, then you're going to have to define your in-house rules somehow, or get rid of them. It only takes a few seconds to type out. In the end, it comes down to realizing that not everyone is familiar with how you like to play.
