seems like dota changed quite a bit x_x last time I captained people either laughed or typed '...' or ? what a bunch of meanies most of the heroes that I hate playing against (ex. panda) seem to be popular now. I'll have to theorycraft some ownage lineup on my next vacation and show my str hero abusing koreans how it's done :p the army sucks, what can I say t.t 90%+ of the ppl here who play games play lol and only talk lol. didn't realize lol was so big in korea until I came here and saw all the lol players watching ongamenet lol league/shows religiously. i'm curious how lol vs dota2 will play out. koreans think lol already has too much momentum for dota2 to even compete  icefrog hwaiting~ | ||

the closest thing you'll get is right here but it's pretty unorganized and outdated. should work fine for pubs tho taking a look here might help you out too, but it's probably not worth looking at if you haven't played dota before dota's not quite the same game, but most of the basics transfer over your best bet is to watch replays of players better than you it's important that you understand why they are doing things as opposed to what they are doing it's kinda boring though and isn't really worth it if you don't have at least a basic understanding of the game you can also pick up some information from ingame or other sources, but make sure not to take any advice too seriously because most of it is wrong | ||

I started watching DotA 2 which makes me really want to play it but I’m not in the beta and DotA (1) has just too archaic matchmaking (I’m lazy to get W3 set up and all). Recently I tried HoN and I have to say it looks as a really solid game. The F2P system is worse than in LoL and it’s not very noob friendly. I had an epic 68 minute back and forth noob-fest, we won and the XP and coins don’t seem to reflect the length of the match. You jump in an AP game, casual mode, very low MMR and people will still act surprised that the team is full of noobs. I ended up playing only my favourite DotA heroes and it’s the only reason started playing to begin with. I probably forgot people in DotA were rude too so it was bit of a shock. Having to translate which hero, skill and item is which makes it much more difficult. Overall losing is more annoying and winning more rewarding than in LoL. Having said that, I’ll probably jump in from time to time because of the DotA heroes but I’ll switch to DotA 2 as soon as I can, that’s what I know the most and enjoy the most. PS: Do towers in DotA have similar damage output? I’ve noticed people have no problems tower diving on me even at level 4 which makes me a bit annoyed. | ||
