So the smurf on our team (a chipper) pretty much carried the game till all the others underfarmed/underleveled guys in our team could put a decent team fight. Hopefully even if we all sucked (cept for chipper) we had some strong heroes for late game ( SS, CD etc...) and we managed to win 5v4. A strat only viable when there is a huge difference in skill level i guess. | ||

I can totally imagine a lineup like this: Pyromancer Witchslayer Deadwood Nymphora/Tempest/Kraken Forsaken Archer The amount of disable and dmg (both physical and magical) coming out of it is insane and lanes should work well too as you have heroes who can work either solo or in pairs. | ||

I think he can't really make good burst combo like pebs since he has to use his ult to really kill people whereas Peb only uses his "normal" skills and hence works better with an hero like Nymphora. Also it seems that people don't really like to try new heroes when they are already confident with one character of the same type (i.e: peb) so if peb gets banned they just get a different style of line up since there are tons of "OP" heroes. Why pick a DW when you can get a magebane, a tremble, a zephir or a "push" line up with a Keeper or Ophelia ? Also Pyro is awesome but it seems quite hard to play tbh. Idk if it is the reason why he is not picked as much by the pros but i feel that the delayed stun is not something really easy to land and you can screw up big time. Btw the rise of elephant on the competitive scene seems interesting and he is quite fun to play too. I usually tend to feed too much but with him i'm often able to escape some really dangerous situations. Stun+charge and tanky stats are good for your K/D ! | ||

And one more question for all of you: How much do you farm on a carry? I'm asking this because recently people started to call me names in the games where I'm playing Flint Beastwood for example, complaining that I'm not helping with ganks etc. when it's 15min into the game and I have no opponent in mid as I've scared NH away already (people pick such heroes and then are shocked when someone actually gets rev wards). How can I ignore this freefarm? No one is ganking me, I have entire lane to myself, creepwave after creepwave and my team wants me to just drop it and go and do 5-man ganks, which we didn't really need as we had magmus and pebbles just bro hugging together the entire game... I mean, in 15 min I just got my laning items and just started working on shieldbreaker/shrunken and in general I thought that with FB you kinda ignore everything to keep your farm up (talking about a situation where you're not losing any lanes or anything). It's not like he's a very ganky hero... Tell me if I'm wrong or not (because if I am, I need to change my FB habits immediately). I guess I watched too many games with AngryTestie as FB and just can't pull it off the same way with my sub-par skill. | ||

If you're FB, you've won your lane, you're free farming, and your teammates' lanes aren't feeding, it's a dominant strategy for you to continue farming. As in any RTS, when you are ahead don't throw away your lead by attempting something stupid: get more ahead. Just make sure your teammates have TPs and can countergank if your opponents try to creep up on you. Good sight is critical though. In addition to rune wards, you want a ward with vision of your lane's enemy tower TP radius so you can 1.) Spot attempts at ganks to call for teammate TP to countergank. 2.) Push for free towers if/when opponents back off. That's basically Testie's winning strategy when he has friends who take orders. In pubs, this is significantly less effective because even at 1700, you have teammates who won't carry tps, and won't use the TPs even when you buy them and place them on your teammates' characters. Then again, this is not to say that if your opponent's team composition is something like scout, sand wraith, madman, night hound, dark lady, that you can't just push in their rax at 10 minutes since you can and should; the only difference in this situation is whether you win at 15 minutes or win at 45 minutes or you lose at 80 minutes. | ||

I just made an unverified account and played a game. Talk about bottom of the barrel. I've officially seen it all, my friends. What really got me loling IRL was when I politely questioned our orange scout why he had not researched his electric eye move yet (he was lvl 7). He then SCREAMED back at me, "FUCK YOU. YOU LICK MY DOGSHIT OFF MY BOOT". A little later, after he had calmed down, I politely asked again. This time he said, "Fuck you man. I don't play support scout. I carry you newbs." He wasn't trolling. I gave a hearty laugh and stroked my neckbeard. Didn't surprise me at all when he afk'd a few minutes later after getting pummeled a few times by the opposing team's smurfing Fayde and Pharoah. | ||

I am a team player, I would never steal farm or tablet Testie into precarious situations, I would also never use hook or wall based abilities that would hinder Testie in pursuing enemies / not dying. | ||
