At least we could have a proper place for people who are just starting out, so they don't ask the same questions over and over again etc. Even freaking "Health & Fitness" has its own sub-forum... This is disappointing.

This is disappointing. Have you seen the current rate of posts in this thread? It's pretty low compared to that of the dota2 forum and nothing compared to the LoL forum. This may have been a valid question a while ago when this thread was very active, but definitely not now.

LoL forum has way more posts than this thread, and from what I gather, a lot more people are interested in DotA 2 tournaments than HoN ones, even smaller tournaments as well.

LoL forum doesn't have more posts. If you haven't noticed this thread has almost 32500 replies, there are just a couple of threads in LoL forum that go into thousands and most of them is a couple to a few hundred posts (edit: I was just looking at topics active in the last 30 days). I know this thread hasn't been as active lately (even though there are sudden spikes in activity here) but having our own sub-forum, even if not very active, would allow us to structure info properly. We could have a newbie corner, strategy corner and stuff like that instead of cramming everything into a single bag. I guess that quite a lot of people turn away from here because all they see is random banter and they don't know that this thread is actually a gold mine of good and credible info from top players. Why would we have to force people to sift through all the off-topic and random stuff when we could just organize it better. I don't think it would hurt TL the least bit. Just look at Health & Fitness sub-forum. They have 1 huge ass thread and a couple of smaller ones. Where's the problem in that?

there's a bit of stuff worth reading here and there but it's really not worth sifting through a 1600 page thread and tbh none of the good players post any more anyway

I think that the model looks amazing but the attack animations seem kinda slow and iffy to me (maybe because I haven't played Chronos in ages).

But serious, the poor man's PK is such a big play maker it's sillyness. Also I feel that pebbles is much better in the mid lane due to his massive last hit damage so it's very hard to take creeps from a good pebbles mid unless it's tremble or something stupid. Pebbles is pretty much my favorite hero, I mean midas is cool and all, but Pebbles throws shit in the air. I CAN KILL MY TEAM BY ACCIDENT, AND THEY CAN'T GET MAD. Seriously, must I go on?

What are good ways to learn how to build heroes on your own? I usually just try to follow the build guides and do the role that the builds tell me to do, but something's telling me that I should try it on my own. I don't know what to get yet, is there some kind of way that you guys do it that is pretty easy to learn?

Pebbles still does more burst damage than Midas does with his combo, it's still a lot easier to one-shot people with him. Both are really good though, just depends on what your team needs. Pebbles is also a better hero to win mid with than Midas is I think, Midas does a lot better in a solo side lane.

I think that the model looks amazing but the attack animations seem kinda slow and iffy to me (maybe because I haven't played Chronos in ages). Grandfather time is an amazing alt imo and his ult is gorgeous. I was actually discussing his ult to void's ult in dota2 with some friends, so I'm just gonna post this here:

Rewind doesn't really protect you from burst damage. You still get the damage but you heal it later so guys like Witchslayer or Pyromancer can be a royal pain in your ass (and of course, any disables).

Faceless completely dodging laguna/finger was frustrating as hell. Though old mercurial was worse for that... I still have nightmares about that 5% mercurial that reflected my laguna and killed me ._.
