hon 2.0 30$ is it a ripoff? i dont play hon at all but the new feartures dont look so impressive, so i wonder what do you hon players think
"HoN 2.0 features a more action-packed game style that will enhance the adrenaline factor for hardcore gamers and attract more casual gamers, a growing breed of HoN players. In addition to enhanced visual elements, a 3V3 map and map editor, and cosmetic items shop, HoN 2.0 easily matches teammates with a new Match Making System. HoN 2.0 also introduces an entirely new game play mode - Casual Mode - that lowers the barrier to entry for new and casual gamers. "
so basically 3v3 and a new game mode for casuals wtf? hows that 2.0
I've easily spent over 500 hours on HoN, and for $30, that's definitely better than many other games I've played. The only game that probably beats it in term of time spent is C&C Zero Hour ;p

no, i mean you gota pay extra 30$ to get 2.0, and you get nothing
? 2.0 is nothing more than a large patch which is free to download. The patch includes a cosmetic store where you can purchase skins, icons, etc. but this is optional.
Wow how have i missed this thread. Man matchmaking was some of the most fun i had in ages. Feels good to finally get a basically free stat reset where i can actually improve my stats rather than not being able to change them due to huge amount of games played.
if there are 10 people who want to inhouse there is an inhouse - usually the active players are scattered over several games, and if 10 people finish their games at similar times (out of ~40 people) an ih is made. i only try to make people wait on fr/sa so they definitely occur, other than that it is, to my knowledge, random.
There are certain individuals who host in houses and have no idea what they're doing as well. It's a real toss up, if you get one such individual they are likely to talk out of their ass while the game is full and ready to start. Drunk on power they refuse to start the game and while in game they often times make a mess of things by annoying the rest of the players.
iunno about what the above poster is talking, unless there have been some recent douchehouses I've missed out on. Generally the only problem is that people want to obs rather than player.
does anyone play the SC2 version? ITs kinda lame but i think blizzard is coming out with an official dota for sc2 or at least theys aid that at blizzcon anyone know any more info on that?
after playing sc2 i realized how well mannered the community is. that includes pubs, on average there is glhf gg etc. in dota, the community is full of trolls
