Part II is pretty good! So much to do! But come on, the circle size? Seriously? Not very fun getting knocked out of the circle every 10sec and having to start new... Specially with the Fatui guys. One freezes the whole circle and the other thunder claps almost the whole cirlce...
EDIT: on the other hand, Diona is awesome! If you don't have any decent Cryo guys (sorry Kaeya) build her! And on top of that her shield has stamina regen and movespeed so everywhere I go, Diona gets me there faster and in style :D

It's disappointing that we gotta use 20 resin each time we want to loot a cluster.

account got hacked, didn't get any email notifications at all (no signs of my email being compromised as well).
looks like a good excuse to quit the game. was at ar41 but it was getting pretty stale.

Bought all 150 after I learnt that to ascend a hero from 80 to 90 you need like 160 books lol.

It's a no brainer considering you only get 3 or 4 per leyline.

Just missing a few fading stars and all I'm gonna have to buy is Mora. I'm not sure if it's worth it to push for the Meteorite Remains after 18 for the battle pass.

I'm around AR39 and have the same feeling. A banner I don't care about is as good a getting out point as any. I've seen what the game has to offer, and I've done most of the fun part of the game (exploring), so all that's left is the grind for bigger numbers... until more content is released, I suppose.

That's the thing! It's not only the 6 week patches that bring new content but also these events. I don't know any other new game that brings out new content with this quality this fast and they seem to really address what players say/ want. That's what draws me back in every time I think "meh, I guess I'm gonna stop playing now"
Have bought all the xp books and now I'm gonna buy all the 10k Mora. Probably pushing to get to 30 to get all the rewards for Part II

Nearly bought all the Mora. Pretty good deal. Normally I'd get 52k Mora per ley line 20 Resin. In this event I get 110k Mora per 20 Resin <3
Also couldn't resist to buy the BP once again, seeing that I already have it leveled half way already

Moraaaaaaaaa. Finally finished getting knocked out of the ring.

wish the crystals were 4 star versions. They are prob the most resin intensive thing because of how rare they are to drop and the 40 resin cost.

I find the 5* crystals and the unique item dropped by the elites more difficult than the 4* crystals

What crystals do you mean?
Getting closer to the dreaded AR45. Having 3 guys to 80 and 4 more to 70 now, all with pretty basic artifacts and not fully talent leveled. AR45/ World level 6 is gonna suck big time -.-
Really hoping they introduce some catch up mechanic for 1.2 otherwise getting new chars is more curse than gift

Will my weapons influence this decision at all? Given this team comp, where would my talent lvl mats best be put to use? This gon' be long. So the first thing is to watch and understand (as best you can) the elemental reactions vid some posts above. I say this because (and you'll definitely feel this at later world levels and such) damage doesn't really scale by levels/equipment beyond a certain point - it really scales by team comp and mostly elemental reactions. As an example, a major reason why teams with Diluc frequently output really high damage (not counting Abyss bonuses) is because if you can pair him with a Hydro character that applies the element frequently, he gets a 1.5+ multiplier on his damage (Vaporize!)... it's why Xingqiu is considered a god-tier support - Hydro frequently leads to very good damage multipliers and he is a god of applying and re-applying the element. The Electro-Charge bug fix that rolled out arguably makes Keqing way more competitive because that reaction now reliably dishes out additional damage, allowing her to pair with a Hydro support way better. The reason why I bring this up is because your current team comp is arguably somewhat inefficient & and you have a number of options of how you want to do the big damages. For elemental reactions, ideally you have at least one aura (someone that applies an element frequently as a base) and at least one trigger (someone that uses a skill to proc a reaction and get the damage). Fish is definitely an aura (though her up-time can depend on your constellations), Benny is both a trigger (E) and aura (Q), and Xiangling doesn't really do anything elemental particularly well. Qiqi's also pretty unreliable because it's a low-frequently spin. As an example, if you want to focus on Xiangling as a physical DPS, then the elemental reaction you want to enable that is Superconduct (Cryo+Electro) because it inflicts a physical DEF debuff. You may be trying to do that, but Qiqi is actually a horrific elemental reaction character - you'd probably get more mileage out of Kaeya. It's why you frequently see Razor+Kaeya pairs, because the latter is much better at applying the element... even if his kit overall is sort of meh. You may actually get more firepower by running Xiangling/Fish/Qiqi/Kaeya so you can try to ensure as high an uptime on Superconduct as possible. Xiangling/Bennett/Fish/Kaeya might be a little hairy in terms of pure healing throughput but it likewise probably gives you the maximum amount of damage - you just have to be careful and try to apply Superconduct before you pop Bennett's ult (because the frequency of his ult's fire ticks might Melt the cryo or Overload the lightning). Note that without reliably proccing Superconduct in combat, you'll find your damage just stops scaling relative to enemy strength. The game (at higher AR) is definitely balanced around the Reaction damage. This all then pertains to the talents you level. If you're focused on XL physical DPS then obviously her Autoattack matters the most and her skills aren't as important (because your artifacts will be geared toward hitting harder and not empowering her flame damage). You can dumpster on Bennet/Fish/Kaeya Autoattack because you won't be using them much. Fish's Skill becomes her #1 priority because you're relying on her to apply damage over time and not really worried about the Q nuke damage. So on and so forth. What weapons you have can determine which role-per-character is more efficient for you if you feel the want/need to explore. Having a sacrificial sword vs. not having one really changes how some characters (like Qiqi and Xingqiu) play - it gives Qiqi. Obviously the Pike on XL is a necessity for her as a physical DPS. So on and so forth. Hope that helps a bit.
Thank you, yes that is helpful I've moved to sub Qiqi out for Kaeya and things seem basically fine, what I lack from healing I make up for in more frequent elemental burst DPS / reaction damage which is fine by me.
So now I'm trying to clear level 5 abyss, which is the one that asks you to make 2 separate teams, and I'm struggling to put another one together mainly because IDK what would work with the rest of my roster, which is below - team members are in red:
I feel like I don't have a lot of options for a cohesive team at this point, perhaps out of what remains I don't have much in the way of a carry; any time I hear people discuss one of my remaining characters they usually pair it with other ones that I don't have or that are already being used in the first team. Genshin.gg says that Ningguang can be DPS but I don't know how to make a Geo team, it also says Beidou can but the only other Electro pairing I have with her is Lisa but I don't know if that pairing makes sense. I have a large # of other supporty characters too like Barbara, Qiqi, Noelle, Sucrose, and Xingqiu. I could pair Sucrose and Anemo Traveler together but IDK if that's actually "good". I've been wanting to roll on Keqing / Tartaglia for a while now but got Ningguang instead, which is still nice I guess. 35 starglitter saved in the shop, but I missed Razor in the shop last month (was saving for him too )
- AR 37 btw

Long-term with Abyss just be aware that you'll re-arrange teams a lot to try to adjust for different types of enemies and leyline disorders.
At first glance in terms of pure resource investment, you'll almost certainly be using Bennett, Fischl, and Xingqiu (the holy trinity of supports) quite heavily.
Strictly in terms of DPS your two strongest options are actually probably Xiangling and Bennett - the latter of whom gets quite a bit of oomph on his output as long as his ult is up and you have his Ascend4 talent. Beidou "can" DPS because she's a claymore but her motion values are rather underwhelming... you could theoretically try to power her ult (which is a huge chunk of DPS gains) but it's an 80EN ult and I've found even double electro doesn't reliably keep it running. As with most characters, there's almost certainly a way, but it takes a lot of finagling.
Assuming that one of your teams is something like Xiangling + Kaeya + Fischl + Barbara. Your second team might actually be best served being Bennett + Xingqiu + Qiqi + Sucrose or something.
You get vaporize and melt for Bennett, and you can use Sucrose to try to keep people inside Bennett's ult and reduce their elemental resistances.
Ning can DPS but Geo teams are slightly wonky at the moment because their damage caps out (the Petra set is better for other elements, unfortunately, because Geo can't make Geo shields). If you enjoy her playstyle though, you can definitely just invest heavily in her and chunk things with her charge attack and ults.

You do have some S-Class chars just sitting there
I'd say Ningguang, Xingqiu, Qiqi could do fine. Could try a freeze/ shatter comp. 4th slot I'd put in Kaeya for the cryo team bonus and put maybe Barbara in your other team

Both of you have given me some things to think about and try, so thank you very much for that
Who do you think is likely to be the next characters in the shop? I have 36 star glitter now...

Next 5 stars is going to be Zhongli, no?

Yes, right after Childe ends or 1 day after...
So what are your opinions on the last meteor event? I'm kinda torn on it, it's kinda boring both ways, solo and CO-OP. I can't seem to get a time under 5 minutes no matter how hard I try.
