I feel like the samurai enemies on World Level 8 have waaaay too much HP and don't drop the blue handguards nearly as often as you get the other blue mats from Mondstadt / Liyue.

They do have more HP, I guess about 50% more but not so much that it'll cause any real problems for anybody who can 36* Abyss. For the first time ever since launch you couldn't prefarm or already have a stock of materials before a character drops in the case of Ayaka. By the time Raiden Shogun drops, most people would have built up a big enough stock themselves I suspect. A F2P player would have much less currency for the shop to get the handguards and it would be better for them to get items like the weapon or characters or wishes they can't otherwise eventually get from the overworld. Anyways, if anyone is particularily desperate for mora or artifacts to consume, there seems to be about 20 replenishable artifacts on a 24hr timer in Inazuma, mostly around the Mikage Furnace.

The team I had to run to 3* 11-3-2 was Kaeya Xingqiu Barbara Fischl. Barbara (or Mona I guess if you have her?) is necessary to take down the initial shield. Xingqiu alone can't do it because his downtime is too long, and his stuff is needed later anyways. For the first damage window, I got Oz up before it dropped invuln, then went Xingqiu EQE. Once the seeds are up, they can be broken with Xingqiu since his Q is still up. Once the boss moves to do the ranged attacks, Fischl Q for Oz and a couple autos while it's mid-air for good measure. Then Kaeya QE when it drops. I killed it on the third window with Xingqiu. I can clear floor 12, but 9* is not even remotely possible. Everything is so tanky that I don't even come close to meeting the time.

Edit 1 Day later: I managed to 9* Floor 12. I thought it was going to be a real slog, but it wasn't. It's just that the first chamber is the hardest chamber instead of the easiest, which set up the usual expectation that the rest of the floor will be harder, which wasn't the case. The high and low energy tide is an interesting mechanic that you have to alter the usual order you choose when to use your elemental skills and bursts. I think that once you can play around that energy tide mechanic, you gain a significant amount of energy. Being able to recharge ultimates every 20s is quite the power boost. I would say this abyss is much easier than last abyss. Anyways I had to make Eula-Beidou team with Bennett Xiangling for big AoE damage for the first half, making sure to drop the Eula Lightfall sword on both the big samurai to kill them both at the same time. The Second half was Ganyu, Diona, Barbara Xinqui, using both Barbara and Xingqiu to freeze those teleporting fatui mages. Felt a bit of a waste having a well built Xingqiu but only using him to apply hydro at melee range. Initially tried a Keqing overloaded team because those samurai seem to not be knocked back so much, but it turned out to be so much easier with Eula's burst being able to simply wipe out a group of samurai at once.

I finally 100% exploration progress across all three islands but the Inazuma progress is at 58% at the Yashiro Commission and I know that 60% is possible. I have no idea what is missing, though I am probably missing a few chests somewhere, but I wouldn't even know which island.

- still hate the fact that quick swapping chars after dashing isnt possible - charged attacks are underwhelming when two normal attacks usually do the same amount of dmg - burst is good but not when you have moving enemies on top of a long burst animation all her problems would be solved with a less janky dash

Mobile games I started Hero Wars recently, no idea if I stick with it though

Only mobile games I play are JP FGO (kinda... I mean it's a glorified book series) and JP PGR. Effectively makes Genshin my only source of random arse gacha, lol.

At this point I'm just trying to farm wishes before Sayu disappears, her elemental skill is just too fun.

That said, it's better than the previous theatre mechanicus. In that it's much less of a grind to raise the levels. The previous theatre mechanicus took a soul crushing 6+ hours to complete and get all the rewards. Sayu's elemental skill is about as fast as Ayaka sprint in the overworld, only that it doesn't consume stamina and seems much less likely to be stopped by bumps. Also found out that it prevents Paimon from telling you to explore the area ahead of you later till the animation finishes. Hard to tell how viable the skill is in combat. Swirl explosions and damage numbers everwhere everwhere and so is hard to tell what is happening and why. I got her on my 30th wish and stopped right there as 30 is the highest point where I would be happy to have my pity counter ruined. I was hoping to get some Diona constellations. I've never played any other gacha style game before, Genshin Impact is my first one. I mostly play CS GO and a variety of indie games nowadays. Last year I played Crusader Kings 3 and Dark Souls3.

I haven't had much time to yet although I could have technically started it by now, it just seems kind of daunting with all of the things they've added to it. At this point I'm just trying to farm wishes before Sayu disappears, her elemental skill is just too fun. I've finished it. Fortunately, the challenges are pretty easy to complete this time. It may look daunting, but the system is actually fairly shallow. The long and the short of it is you need to pick one main damage dealing tower and keep rerolling sticks so you can buff the shit out of it. Place a bunch of them and continue buffing. The combination of charity tower + cc of your choice + dps towers is enough to clear every level no matter how poor the actual synergy is. Reactions help but are not required in any way. The buff that adds cc to charity towers almost always worthwhile. To max out on points, clear level 1 repeatedly as it's the fastest/easiest. You can usually afk this one too. To max out on kills, clear level 8 repeatedly. Also, EN FGO here.

I don't play any other phone game besides this. I played FGO and Dragon Champions before, and even tried (bleh) Raid Shadow Legends, but quit like 3-4 days after, because I realized they had even worse odds for legendaries than FGO did... Otherwise I play FF14 now, and am waiting for Age of Empires 4 and Totalwar: Warhammer 3 to release later this year. Maybe Battlefield 2042 if my computer can run it? IDK.

I do regret not rolling on AYAYA-ka and Kazuma-desu, but I would've been bitter if I didn't get the Archon during her banner. You win some, you lose some I guess. Next in my sights will be Yae Miko and then a re-run of Hu Tao for that sweet C1, if I'll manage to play that long... I am losing interest sadly, because of the frankly stupid enemy HP creep, and my own very poor RNG when it comes to artifacts & rolls. I refuse to buy any primos, Welkin & Gnostic Hymn should be more than enough. Can't get Raiden past 20 even, because she needs some new material to ascend her (Amakumo fruit) :p I guess I know now the pain AYAYAka enjoyers felt when she was released.

I don't really feel much of an HP sponge other than the ascension bosses so far, to be honest. I enjoy it, I just still think of the game as two games - one being the open world exploration, the other being the daily grind.
