This topic needs more vids! This is a best of 5 between Amir and BBHood in an FFA MvC2 ranbat, with hilarious commentary by dogface and MegamanDS (I think?). To be honest, I don't really like Marvel: I really only watch the FFA MvC2 vids because of the commentary . Also, games 1 and 5 in this series are pretty intense matches . + Show Spoiler + Game 1: Game 2: Game 3: Game 4: Game 5 (!!!):

Part 1 features Hugo vs Q, but the players aren't very good. Note that they are not Kuroda and Hayao, despite using those players' colours. Part 2 is highly recommended. Players: Munakata(DU), Ocha(YU) vs Matsuda(YU), Umezono(CH)

After the missed super, couldn't he have done a launch + infinite combo? Or at least use his super.

+ Show Spoiler + Psylocke comeback? Anyway, wasn't Umezono at the winning team in the last SBO? (The one where they, [sadly] beat RX/Sugi/Roshi?) If my memory doesn't fail me, umezono will forever be that dude who hayao Gigas'd after parrying the first set of his SAII

Every other Q i have seen is all counter turtle mode.

Didn't prevent me from getting a super duper long 2-game win streak (twice too, omg!). I should have recorded my glorious wins.

Series 3, Hung[OR] vs Ortiz[CH] was most entertaining to me Are these games that you guys were watching to spam all those pages earlier in the thread?

Instead of just a Best of 7 rounds they do Best of 3 matches which consist of 2-3 rounds each. So in effect, 9 total rounds can be played and a losing player can have 4 won rounds. Alternately, a player could play 4 rounds and win, or 5-6 rounds and win 4 rounds to take a series. Another probability is that a player must win 5 total rounds to take a series. For example, all 9 rounds are played with each player winning every other round/match. It doesn't matter which order the rounds are won in either (as long as its not more than 3 consecutive win/loss). (Its bothering me about the 4 in a row thing, it just seems less fair.) This format also resets a players special bars every 2 or 3 rounds to zero. I wonder how differently matches would turn out if it was instead played as 1 match of Bo7/Bo9. Another thing it allows is for the stage to change (doesn't really matter, home field advantage maybe?) and it also allows a player to change his/her SA. Is there a particular reason why its done this way? PS- With the special bars resetting do you think certain characters gain somewhat of an advantage like this? Or lose one (Hugo)? Its more like a Best of 2 matches (bo7rounds) with an 'overtime tie-breaker match'. But its so common for an 'overtime match' that its stupid to call it that.

Fyi evo 3s last-day qualification (which isnt the same as the west qualis you posted) was absolute garbage when I watched. In fact it was such trash and the players utterly craptastic, that it discouraged me from watching even the better matches later in evo.

I really wanted to see if Amir would've fared better vs Jap players then, he and Tokido (and maaaaaaaaybe Nuki) are the only Chun's a like to watch.
