my bests are beginner 3 seconds, intermediate 22 seconds, and expert is what killed me..cause it's like 130 *note* I did some searching online a few years back to see how fast people actually were, that first statement wasn't to be a prick, but it seems that averaging under 100 seconds is pretty standard to be good

Intermediate: 34 Expert: 119 I have pics but since the timer can be frozen they're pretty worthless =o I'm pretty far away from my peak minesweeper play (which of course is still nothing compared to the craziest players on them minesweeper sites).

Everything has it's niche, I guess. My best time on expert would be something like 5 minutes. ;P i had a friend who was clicked insanely fast at minesweeper (he would either lose or clear expert in under 60 seconds) and i tried to get him into starcraft but he just wasnt interested ): he probably would have been able to crack 300 apm with training

i used to play a lot while on the phone with boring people like 10 years ago, don't really play it anymore. i could give some advice, but you're probably just better off reading the minesweeper community sites. get the "minesweeper clone" client... it's got a ton of features that you'll like if you start to get serious about minesweeper.

On my calculator easy mode (8x8), I managed to do it in 23 seconds ![]() I never beat Expert mode T_T I kept getting mixed up between flagging and actually checking for mines. Maybe this is why I lose so many Dragoons to Spider Mines T_T

Intermediate: 40 seconds Expert: 126 seconds (148 non-flagging!) I can't understand how one could go faster, it seems physically impossible for me. And it's possible to finish expert with only 2 or 3 guesses, just think of what the numbers say about where the mines aren't as well as where they are.

medium is for micro practice, ie no flagging expert is what counts, but even then it takes a couple guesses

Int: 21 sec Exp: 86 sec (poor) I did get 14 seconds on Intermediate, but it was glitched (although not my fault). I got 25 seconds on Intermediate on my laptop mouse, too bad I didn't have a real mouse.

the first milestone is beating expert. the second milestone is beating expert <100. the third milestone is beating all 3 with a combined time <100. the greatest milestone would probably be not caring in the first place, but that is not a possibility for us.

26 66 When i was a beginner i thought it was a game for the intelligent. Then i began to understand the mine locations and started thinking it was a game of speed. Now i'm pretty sure that just having pure speed isn't enough. To be great you have to maximize the effectiveness of every one of your clicks. I used to flag nearly all of the mines but now i avoid about 25 of them. The guy in the video probably avoids 70% of them. The cool thing is that video is currently the world's fastest time and it was set in april of 07... last month. Much like starcraft, minesweeper is a game so deep that people are still finding ways to improve their game.

I have reached that milestone... was there the first time I opened minesweeper and went "ahhh... sif bother!"
