i would say the only stats you should invest in is str, atk and vit. there are probably more effective ways, but this works really well, just pump str, with enough atk so your %hit is decent (shouldn't need much more than like 6-8 on stylus or something), and enough vit which gives a lot of hp per point.

i think your main problem is not enough vit judging by your stats. try putting all ur agi, def, sta into vit, you'll have like 250+hp

Go for less str more def att and agi buy the best armor not the best weapon, also more vit. You go for too much str, you may have a good weapon but you suck in general

isn't armor based on level anyway? so you have no contorl over when you get it

i think im gonna try a full magicka/vit or magicka/sta build. see how it goes

Actually i got the best possible armour -32 cause of the breastplate and i only had like 40 more. That time i went 21 str 10 atk 7 def but i played so bs sword guy who critted me a bunch and i got blocked at like 96% hits. -_-

I'll try using vit.

Beat him and finished it. :o The extra 1 sta definetly is worth it. You have to rest twice as much as with 1 since you only recharge 15. The agil is useless though. And I got by with 6 atk but needed some luck, 8 with only 4 vit and 27 str is best I think.

Top weapon is definetly better than getting 32 extra armour.

I tried the primary taunt approach too - wound up dying probably to the same guy in the lvl 24 tournament (3rd or 4th?). I had the 4 inventory slots filled with gale. Normally, this allowed me space to get out of melee range, and get a blowback or two to keep them out of the way. But vs him, he just jumped back into melee range after each cast.

taunt seems to have 4 outcomes, dmg, blowback (knocks him back) , enrage (forces the opponent to charge next turn), or blocked. Larger differences in charisma give not only a better chance of taunting, but increases the better taunt outcomes.

my full magicka/sta and magicka/vit and magicka/anything have failed miserably. i completely misunderstood how spells work in this game -_- damage spells are too expensive anyway
i would try projectile with melee as a backup (until you get quiver) but im sick of this game so =p

I gotta pretty far using the spearazon approach ala Diablo 2. High attack and defense so you block a bunch of attacks, I bought all the best armor so you have a huge cushion, plus you block a lot due to your defensive rating, and then got enchant on my weapon so that they have a 30% chance of losing a turn when you hit them. I got just enough str to keep progressing in weapon quality. I died in the 3rd or 4th tourney when some guy critted me for like 400 dmg, but otherwise I was breezing through the game.

That game is so fucking awesome! i got to the tournanment and it was crazy! pandamonium! And i bought amor and there was that guy with the weapon and he was hitting me! and then the crowd was bored to tears! it was just pandamonium!

full magic just doesnt work. You need another means to deal damage at least until lvl 10+. Even then, you need backup damage cus you cannot kill people with pure magic in tourneys. The spell damage pretty much never reaches the indicated max damage. More often then not, it is lower than the min damage. I had the 2 lightning spells and 2 fireball spells and was killing just about anyone in duel with those 4 casts though. I had enough magic for collosus, 2nd to last spell, but didnt have enough money lol. I should have tried other spells out like little fat kid.

Oh, and I really doubt full agi will work. If you wana pump agi, u better be pumping stamina too since one charge will probably drain u out. Also, full agi doesnt give u any bonus to damage. Maybe there is a way to make it work once u pass the initial stages when u can spam arrows and run away once they reach u

I just did a max Charisma build and it owned until I got "commanded" (the spell that drags you to the enemy. And critted twice >_<) I killed everyone with taunt doing 130 damage. I maxed charisma until I started need stamina, so I added that. Probably a few points in magicka to buy gale would've been the safest build. Taunt owns everyone so hard s(^_^ )b.

I got to level 13 with 2 losses and lost interest :-\. At level 13 I had str 20, agil 4, attack, 9, defense 9, vital was like 4?, stamina 6?, magic 1 and the other thing like 2...

The agil is good if you get to fight vs one of those crap shooters who just use long range(arrows), they piss me off easily...

Key for me was buying good armor value, upgrading the vital sometimes, but mainly getting the defense up with attack, strength its alrite i suppose better wpns....
