Also as for the stats I think that Strength, Agility, and Magic are merely just prerequisites for getting different items. Attack increases damage, defence increases your chance to block, vitality increases health, stamina increases stamina, and charisma helps you get lower prices when buying things. That's all from my experience, I'm sure I'm incorrect on some of them though.

FYI i dont believe you can save even if you have the full version. You CAN save, but there's no way to load your character when you restart the game.

EDIT: Damn I thought HaiVan's version would work b/c it's online, but it still doesnt seem to be able to load saved characters. It always just says "Retrieving saved gladitators, please wait."

aw fuck, I was saving up money but once i started the tourney I couldn't go buy more shit. All i bought was level 3 shoes and level 2 or 3 wrist greaves. and I still got the final boss down to 8 hp, man I almost won.

29-1 lost to 3rd tournament final guy, but i could've killed him easily, juts screwed up, didn't get enough strength so my weapon sucked, i had like 10k gold going in because i bought al lthe best armor and enchant (well level 1 enchant couldn't afford lvl2) and yeah >_<
had like 350+ hp and 250+ armor but a shitty weapon lol (i think the 10k club with wraith ench)

51k points at the end or something

26-1 vs son of stylus lost.

Had 27 strength and the last axe, but I didn't get enough attack.

And strength makes you do more damage, agility makes you move faster, and magic, i dunno.

There is a pc game by activision called 'Gladiators of Rome' released in 2002 loosely based off the movie. It is sort of like this flash game, except it is all in real time, semi-3d, and you can have a team of up to 10 gladiators.

It's really fun, i enjoy it. Specially on hard mode where your guys can die permanantly.

Level 12? Unless you're playing the full version there is no level 12 boss, but I'll explain what I did for each boss.

Level 4 Tournament butcher guy: Just beat the shit out of him, no really strategy. Just have a decent amount of armor and whack away and hope to get lucky.

Level 7 Tournament ninja dude: I think this is the one you're probably talking about. This guy has high agility so he can run away fast and likes to pelt you with shuryukens. Just try to stay close and wail away (if at all possible). The guy is suprisingly weak at close combat (well, weak compared to what you may expect) and he only has 5 shuryukens anyways so if you have a high defense and armor build like me and can afford to take 5 hits, you should be fine.

Level 9 Tournament son of whateverthefuckhisnameis: You should invest in shuryukens before getting into this tournament (they require 9 or 12 agility I believe) and try to have a high attack. This guy is really slow so try to back away to a safe distance and use up all 10 of your shuryukens to take away most of his armor. Then charge in and hope that you can finish him off faster than he can kill you (which may be hard considering he probably does twice as much damage as you).

Everything tends to be alot easier if you have high defense since it makes it really hard for anyone to land a hit on you even if you have inferior armor. Defense I believe basically reduces your opponents chance of hitting you. Since whenever I fight guys with high defense my chance of hitting with a normal attack is like 10-20% compared to guys with like 1 defense with which I have a 50-80% chance of hitting with a normal attack.
