i don't think he had a chance if i understand him correclty (i.e arrow +frost, so opponent goes again, rinse repeat 6 times)
anyway Raindrop's career has come to an end ;D
i died at the emperor, was a really stupid fight, here's how it went i taunt, he gets knocked back to the edge of arena he uses command i can't gale him cuz we're at the edge so i walk back (my only option, can't taunt at melee range) he crits me for more than my hp, i die
LAME anyway no counter to that no matter what build you use, so i'm not too upset =)
here are final pics

and of course imo ww+bow is an obvious bug, fix pls ^_^ char was a lot of fun tho, i dont regret it, and it's definitely capable of winning. its lack of dmg and hp is compensated by the fact that you control the fight, and force opponent to do what you want (which is any of the 4 outcomes) anyway wish i could use that gold for something though.. 100k/stat point seem fair? :D
|
Doh poor raindrop! I was hoping you'd win :X
|
well it's impossible to survive a crit for more than your hp unless you stack vit, in which case you won't be getting to the emperor to begin with so i don't really mind^_^ wish i could re-play the battle though..just to prove char can win =(

Frankly I'm amazed you made it so far Jee Jee :p Woulda considered you a dead man by the time u hit the Arch Angel with just 1 DEF. The patience you must've had to even try a CHA so far, scary.
|
when i had a char character (was lvl 30 before i got soo frickin bored i quit), I got about 7-10 agi. That way when ppl command, you can walk backwards out of the range of their melee. works wonders.

hmm it seems that AGI build is the fastest build due to the WW bug.
and probably also the safest

Curious, anyone try a char/agil hybrid? Moderate char points in the beginning, I'm thinking like 20-30 (safer build than agility early) Use your charisma in the later game for raking in cash. Sacrifice either some defense or attack or both in order to get mass armor.
I was trying this and than my comp crashed at like lvl 20ish =(
Or is it possible to get max armor/weapons/enchant without cheer whoring anyway?
|
Yeah, if you use the adulation spell, you'll be rolling in cash. I played till about level 30 with a pure agility build, and was always able to buy the best weapons and armor as soon as they became available. I never had enough for enchantments, but that was because I was switching weapons so often. I'm sure if I'd kept going I would have had enough for enchantments before the end, because I already had the best weapons so nothing to spend money on.
The char/agil hybrid could work though. You wouldn't need much in agil, just about 10 or so to be able to move around.

You can easily sacrifice some attack/defense/vit/magicka without slowing down too much. So those points can go into charisma.

You can get the best armour and weapons without cheering, unless you mean right at the start of the game then no. Enchants will be very expensive in the end so you can get adulation ASAP if you want to get the 17M needed to enchant bow and sword. You just go get 8 MAG and use adulation, so much faster than cheering. Finally here's a magic list.
Magic:
Teleport (3 MAG): Move to a random location in the arena. Gale (4 MAG): Blow opponent back a far distance. Swift Sandals (6 MAG) : Double movement speed. Adulation (8 MAG): +50'ish crowd appreciation in a fight. Command (8 MAG): Move opponent next to you. Lightning Bolt (8 MAG): 100-200 damage. Fireball (10 MAG): 80-160 damage. Whirlwind (10 MAG): spinning attacking that causes "grievious damage". Unlimited range with a bow. Weaken Armour (12 MAG): take out 3 pieces of armor from your opponent. (a person normally has 7 pieces, 8 with a shield) Blood Lust (15 MAG): Increase Strength but reduces Agility for a short period of time. (at 4 strength blood lust gave me +2 more strength, so maybe it is +50% STR?) Boundless Energy (15 MAG): Unlimited Energy (Stamina) for a short period of time. Regenerate (15 MAG): Every turn you obtain back a reasonable amount of hp (I hate it when opponents use this on me when they have high DEF) Ghost Strike (16 MAG): A melee attack that travels with unlimited range. Hell Fireball (20 MAG): 150-450 damage. Frightening Bolt (24 MAG):200-400 damage. Little Fat Kid (25 MAG): Shrinks opponent for a short period of time, seems to weaken attack a bit. Dire Fireball (30 MAG): 300-600 damage. Rejuvenate (40 MAG): Restore all armor points and hit points. Colossus (50 MAG): Increase Strength and Attack. (I had 4 Strength, this thing gave me 12 Strength. Thats pretty good I'd say, and Attack went from 38 to 76!) Molten Death (60 MAG): 400-800 damage. <-- Costs 900k what a rip off! Oh and another thing, it sucks up 60 stamina to cast!?
**I must say Colossus really surprised me, it pretty much tripled my strength and doubled my attack. Maybe if I had more strength I could say more if it really triples strength.

Ghost strike sounds good for a str char actually... Gale away, and keep doing it? :O But what are the costs? and u can only hyave a certain slots yeah T_T
|
Alright, im at the lvl 46 tourney now (archangel) Hopefully ill be finally able to beat this game!
|
Hey, i found a bug. An opponent did ghost stike and was on the other side of the arena. When he did it, the camera wasnt on either of us. Now he is permanently invisible!

COULD THIS WORK: Strength / Attack / Magic build
Here's why: Colossus + Ghost strikes If colossus really does like x3 strength x2 attack, then you would probably kill anything rather easily. But you would also have to skip out on defense, which is pretty dangerous.

Good job nitram!
I treid that Kaotu, I reaaaaally hated how opponents can attack further away than I could, and I would have to charge in. Without command magic agility enemies can run back and keep firing arrows at you, so annoying. Even with command they can run back -_-. And something I found out, Power and Normal attacks will knock opponents away depending on how high your Strength is. Higher the Strength further back it seems to push. That...is just NOT good in my opinion with a Strength build which will only have like 6-10 agility. If I knock them back I gotta walk towards them just to attack again. Guess its best to use weak attacks if you don't want to knock the opponent away. When I used a 36 STR Axe it seemed to drain me 30 stamina just to swing it! I was resting so much and eventually died to some high random guy with high attack and a strong sword + bow. I couldn't even get to 20 magika and I died. How unlucky. Maybe someone can post a STR build hahah.

That is unfortunate Monsen. Full armor restores didn't help?
Frost proc makes you miss the turn.

Ah, I see.
Ok something is weird, I don't think its axes that waste my stamina...but maybe strength?... I used a 6 AGI bow (slingshot) my stamina suddenly dropped from 110 --> 56!?
|
str determines your stamina drop per attack. Agi determines stamina drop per move and charge. If your a str build, charge doesnt eat up all your sta. Im guessing Cha = taunt stamina usage and magic = spell stamina usage.

Someone should win the game the real mans way. Strengh build god damn it .
