For Agi builds, if you put a few points in Str early on the butcher is easy. Or you can raise def early instead so that he misses a lot if you're trying to avoid strength like I do now. Buy the cheapest slingshot, brigand greaves and boots with the starting 2500, then pick up a shortsword and whatever armour scraps you can afford with the cash from the first few duels. 9 agi, 6 atk, 9 def, 4 vit can beat him for example

Trouble with strength builds is the game occasionally throws someone with a totally ridiculous sword at you long before you have the HP to survive a critical from it and you don't have any way of taking them out safely.

It's beyond me how you can bear to repeat the same shit hundreds of times only to be rewarded by... well nothing? Is there some hidden feature in this to make those 500 duesl worthwhile ? Wtf guys, seriously.

I got 2 events to boost my attack 2 so thats 4 extra atk and 2 events for 3 +mag, just put a few more in to get x2 whirlwind and x1 command, I got speracles down to 100 hp with the second whirlwind (first was blocked) and his weapon sucks, 10-100, i fear some 5-1200 sword 1000 crit from some random guy.

Monsen i know, its addicting, I played for like 2 hours at the character above T_T.

234-8 tourney 11 level 33.
Some guy with a sword blocked 2 whirlwinds (~60% chance to hit) 1 ghost strike and got a ton of lucky hits. TT And he was only 1 hit away from death.

i got to like 135-11 stats XD died to some lucky sword freak - 700crit+700poison. I hate when i lose duels cuz of some luck crit, like guy has 5armor left, i just need to touch him with my 100+ attack and i win, but noo, he does 24dmg to me and critical, so silly, lost 11duels cuz of that

wish there was some 100% efficient way or protection against crit hits.

Actually, not being able to reload saves is the main reason the game is fun, so long as you have a stable computer to play on.

i still don't see how you can bear with the huge rolls in agi builds (i mean 24-530 come on)
it's like you have to get continuously lucky o-o

edit: i just realized that screenshot means you killed him without drawing your sword? (assuming you stay at ranged vs a primary sword user) did you roll high damage or was the final guy not so tough?

damn I wanted to be the first to beat it T_T

I dont think u can beat this with Str build. You risk too much against Agi/attack type.

Should be doable with Cha build though - itll take a long ass time.

Oh and the sword crits are not all about luck. If you have high attack (or maybe its agi) u have more chance to crit I think. Also, if u do normal or strong attack it will do at least medium damage. Quick attacks only get u the minimum damage.
