I wouldn't know for sure since I'm not a security guru or the author of pokevision. Personally, I'm not sharing my server with anybody, so nobody else is going to connect to, or even know my server. If you wanna be really safe, you can try running it on a VM?

An alternative to that link is this one: https://github.com/AHAAAAAAA/PokemonGo-Map
Fire that bad boy up and click on the "Deploy to Jelastic" link. Create your dummy account, and sang your API Key the same way you did before, and enter them when prompted by Jelastic. This will deploy the map on a cloud server that you can hit from home, work, or your mobile phone.
I would think the cloud server option would be a little safer than running it locally and tunneling in.

Sorry to break it to you, but you are one of the cheaters, and Niantic dealt with you. Good riddance.

However, you can download PokeVision and run it, using your own computer as a server. You need to make a second account (or use your main one if you wanna risk getting banned), and a Google Maps API key. 1. Go to https://github.com/mchristopher/PokemonGo-DesktopMap/releases/tag/v0.1.6 and download the installation pertaining to your OS (for Windows users, the .exe file) 2. Install it 3. Follow the guide at https://github.com/mchristopher/PokemonGo-DesktopMap/wiki/Google-Maps-API:-a-brief-guide-to-your-own-key to obtain Google Maps API key 4. Create a new account on Google or Pokemon Trainer Club 5. Run Pokemon GO Live Maps 6. Copy and paste the Google Maps API key and login with your fake account 7. Once you are in, you can scan for pokemon, and click on the top left Mobile button to give you a URL 8. Go to the URL using your mobile device, and you just got your own PokeVision
After I log in it says something went wrong. Failed to load google maps correctly. I can't figure out what I did wrong via google either

Guys, pokemon profile have info about special ability. There is some 1-2-3-4 blue lines, what does it mean and how it's working?

Each tap attack charges the special meter. Each Bar represents 1 use of the special move (Used by tapping the screen and holding your finger down for 2 to 4 seconds). If you have many bars then you can use the special attack multiple times.

Well pretty sure the tracker will be available with the Pokemon GO plus band, so it makes sense to shut down other possibilities till then. Don't forget that's it's a pay to win game .

Well it was fun while it lasted. Removed tracking, removed bonuses for great/excellent catches, reduced scan range. At this rate there will be nothing left in a week.
Oh, and the map showing where pokemon were caught is gone too.

Hoped for something in this patch to motivate me further, not demotivate me. Was thinking about quitting even before...
It's like a MMORPG, which often lack endgame at release with like 2 dungeons and a raid. Patchnotes read to me like this:
We take away the raid because you guys were raiding to much. Also hacking and botting in PvP is now allowed. Have fun with our game and don't forget to buy our pay 2 win items in the store!

The shop isn't really that p2w honestly. The only thing really worth gettting is incubators, but there are other ways to cheat out eggs if you really need to.

"It's on my tracker" vs. "I have no idea where it is"
You know it's nearby, so if you want it bad enough, just walk around. There doesn't need to be a neon sign attached to everything from miles away in this game. You're playing a Pokemon game; you should act like a Pokemon trainer!

Except things despawn relatively quickly, making things difficult, and it can be really tricky determining the radius in which said pokemon will be found. If you don't know for a fact, you are going to have a really tough time.

Incubators are borderline but lucky eggs are p2w IMO because trainer level decides pretty much everything in this game since there is no skill involved. just my 2 cents

Finding a singular Pokemon should be feasible enough that if you see one nearby, you could realistically find it within 10-15 minutes. They could change it so that selecting a nearby Pokemon prevents it from despawning for you for say 30 minutes to an hour. You can start to track it via distance meter like they had before.
As it is, you are best off sitting still near a group of lures. Which gets old, fast.

It takes time before you can gather the 60-70 evolutions to use the egg. In that time, it's not too hard to farm up 80 pokecoins, I personally aim for 40 coins/day for this reason.
Incubators is what I worry about more, someone who spends 10 euros can buy 8 incubators and hatch 27 eggs in the same time I hatch 3
All depends on your definition of "winning" tbh, I don't feel like I'm losing by not spending any money, still one of the highest levels in town and can take any gym I want. I don't own a fancy Exeggutor though, oh well.

I haven't had any issues finding a new Pokemon without the help of a tracker... just knowing that it's Nearby has given me enough time to find it, even without any footprint help. ::shrugs::

All true, but think about if you would start just now. Many of my friends jumped the hypetrain pretty late and have no way of taking over arenas if they try without me. Incubators/ Eggs are pretty random. Best case you get some super strong pokemons, worst case you get pretty much nothing ^^ Lucky eggs are a more guaranteed advantage.
My defintion of winning .. .hmm. I guess I'm winning if i have fun and I have loads of fun when I'm winning

I don't think one month of finding pokemon blindly is too bad. It's actually quite fun having to go after pokemon without knowing exactly where they are, and even though it's gonna be boring after three or four weeks, they'll probably come up with something (pretty sure it won't be free tho :/) in the meantime.
