It's just, teams were able to prepare for them coming into the major, and that makes things rough for sgares. Thing is, when things don't go their way, they don't have the mental fortitude to pull through. Ska is a very good awper but he couldn't carry them all, shroud had an average game and nothing just disappeared. Only Freak had a good game and it's probably not by chance because he appears to always have a positive mindset. n0thing highly relies on his team performing their duties so I don't blame him. The problem was that on CT, sgares didn't put his team in the proper setups to properly defend half the time. It's actually really hard to do well on D2 CT side unless you're set up correctly. Retakes and solo defense are extremely tough on D2.

that was the worst play ive ever seen in quite some time
5-3, bomb planted, why would you leave the site

If C9 wants to make a change, I think n0thing has to be next on the chopping block.
What might be interesting is if they try to pull in a star EU free agent, assuming there will be some shuffle after this major. I feel like the one thing separating them from consistently competing at a T1 level is having an x-factor rifler like olofm or Snax (Ska is an x-factor with the awp but average with a rifle).

This, I think the reads on some of the CT rounds were pretty bad from Sgares. Something makes me think that he got mind gamed by the fact that he'd seen Kinguin play.
Kinguin has this haphazardness that kinda worked for them this game.
That over rotation when Maikelele sold the dummy on long was some real panic thinking,

so they underperformed at a tournament, it happens, yes its at the major that sucks but I don't think they need to change anything neccesarily.

I mean it was an awful call but kinguin did it really well, 99% of the time an awper on pit should have 1 or 2 more rifles around him

And they failed in the most awful way. Makes you think if their recent succes was all pure luck and coincidence. Now they're back in 2014, at least in my opinion. If you're going to claim a team sucks based off of a single Bo1, you must think all teams suck. Did you watch the match? Any random pug team would have won against either team. xD So you're going to claim that a Bo1 is indicative of a team's overall skill level? Ok then. Of course it's not. But if you play that bad you have to be criticized. Especially if you're THE team of the moment. I think C9 had a realistic chance on the semis, but it's they way they stepped out of the tourney that really makes you wonder. There's no shame in losing a BO1, but there are certainly different ways to lose and this was one of the worst imaginable.

I wouldn't change anyone on C9. They have a great roster with their roles fully fleshed out. It's all up to sean to keep things together now.

I said "if C9 wants to make a change". Not "when C9 makes changes".

Which implies you want them to make a change normally.

Fair, not what I meant but I can see why you interpreted it that way.
I was more spitballing on ways for C9 to be more consistent than calling them as fundamentally broken.
|
If NiP goes out here we might have to discuss their changes tho + Show Spoiler +I heard Dennis is playing quite good

Dennis to NiP would be incredibly interesting but he's been rifling and not AWPing. Gotta wonder if he can perform with an AWP after all its nerfs since the last time he AWPed for LGB.

Yeah he sold it well. He did have riflers with him they set him up and then left.
The panic was because he managed to fish out and burn Ska so their reaction was.. "shit they are going to push long now"

Yeah, it's probably f0rest awping then ^^
w8, why are we assuming it's allu who goes xD
|
i dont think they would kick friberg tho, and theres 0 chance f0rest or gtr would leave the team (not that they have to !)

True =S Would suck if f0rest or someone suddenly just retires if they get knocked out in groups.
