![]() Well this is a problem..... it seems almost impossible to get 11 Right in a row without someone going Down or Left....., they've been stuck there forever now

Since it's going to be virtually impossible for Twitch chat to navigate Rock Tunnel even with a map (Flash is completely out of the question given how far out of the way you have to go to get HM05), I'm assuming a random walk path. Use this as input: + Show Spoiler +
Do 500 iterations, taking into account any failed navigation attempts caused by stepping on the start ladder, and the average comes out to approximately 159555 steps, not counting steps taken to get back into Rock Tunnel after a failed try, with a standard deviation of about 122442. This is gonna take a while

This pretty much sums up what's been happening for the past hours ![]()

I haven't been watching until recently, but I can't comprehend how anything has been achieved at all, 3 gym badges is extremely impressive.

Given that it can process 150,000 moves per second, I think it's safe to say that this run is fucked Route 9 and 10 are far from random though. While the delays makes things really weird, the commands are still vastly up and right. I agree with you to an extent, but I've looked at it, and: + Show Spoiler + ######################################################################## The run keeps getting stuck at these two areas. The chances of getting through these two rows without a single person pressing down is infinitestimal (even if you assume that there is only a one-in-four chance of someone pressing down and no one pressing left, there's a ~3% chance of getting through the second row alone), and every time you get stuck, it takes a long time to get out.

It's not a hundred per cent random, but both trolls and the ~20 sec delay make it pretty incalculable... I don't think the situation is entirely hopeless, but it will certainly require quite some luck to get past the next two hurdles (the ledges and Rock Tunnel)

Noone is saying it will be easy, and they may as well not be able to finish it, but any calculation with random movement is too flawed to be taken seriously. I get your point, and you're definitely right, it's not completely random. But only to the degree of a general direction due to the majority of the people trying to give useful input. And that still just leaves so much space for randomness....
