Too many races is not really a problem, the issue was rather with not enough support from the developers. Same for units and spells. Also Soulstorm has fucked up some things, but it was made by a different developer so I prefer to just ignore it. And even then, DoW 1 balance is only broken at high level, at low - mid levels of play the better player still wins most of the time, regardless of the racial matchup. I was commenting on Soulstorm , but to some degree i agree , plus I didnt diss DoW Im a huge fan too myself , its still fucking awesome ! we had it in WCG for 2 years , Select win them ![]()

![]() seems he is very hooked on Heroes. and I dont think that it is like with Moon, wo would rather have stayed with Wc3 instead of Sc2. I think Grubby wanted to really move on after his Wc3 career ![]() breaks my heart

I prefer the sc2 mods, at least it's from Blizzard and it doesn't have to be some obviously copied character. It's fine in Dota, but when copying the actual base game... it doesn't cut it.

when they did it a year ago or something is was fucking amazing , loved the new maps especially the 4v4 and 1v1 map pools , but now I'm bored of them again (4v4) , hell i miss some of the old ones despite that we played them for years ! I only started missing maps like "friends" just recently.

Unless those super rich Chinese organizations subsidizes European players, I don't think it's a smart move for Grubby to try and pick up WC3 again seriously.

Graphically i'm perfectly happy with it. Just putting actual shadows in the game make it seem like it's a massive improvement alone...

I'm sure there are issues still like pathing or building placement, etc, but overall it seemed almost there. Graphically i'm perfectly happy with it. Just putting actual shadows in the game make it seem like it's a massive improvement alone... The author has improved on it so much since it was on the PTR. I'm really glad they got that classic Warcraft III clock up and running. The thing on the PTR that was just a digital clock felt soo out of place.

interpretations of the 4 races. Almost all aspects of classic fantasy lore are represented somehow and the races are made as different as possible (similar to Starcraft). Blizzard did an amazing job in both making each race feel different and fresh (like putting air or siege units in different production facilities for every race) while still balancing it with the symbolic background or racial theme (like putting only beasts in the beastery). There is a lot of beauty in it, which is a big reason why I love this game so much ![]() symmetries (aside of basic structures like Altar): caster mastertraining, at least 1 upgrade for every unit, at least one hero for every subrace, one summon amongst heros, 1 intelligence hero themes: Orc: Native American, Samurai, vodoo, shamanism, tamed beasts Nightelf: Nature, wild, druids, night and moon, savage beasts, ancients and trees Undead: Horror, necro/deathmagic, monsters, vampire, Egypt, sacrifice, corpses Human: Arcane magic, steampower and technology, military, righteousness Combobreaker (when 3 races are the same and one deviates): Human: farm=6food, no t3 building, organic siege Undead: no t1 anti air, Towers in supplybuilding, 2 worker types, no clarities, mining without main Orc: no t3 air, only 1 defense upgrade, second t1 unit cheaper than first, 3 casters, unit with aura Nightelf: buildings can walk, casters in seperated building, t1 siege Cycles (doing the same thing different in every race): Order: Human, Orc, Undead, Nightelf t3 melee: t1 buidling, extra building, t2 building, upgrade of T2 unit barracks 3. unit: t3 melee, siege, air, siege attack upgrades: swords/gun, melee/range, undead/creature, t1/t2-3 magic immune: caster, none, air, range/air build method: cooperative, inside, selfbuild/blight, sacrifice worker base defense bonus: militia, burrows, blight, moonwell/ancient invisibility: spell, Hero, shade, t1 unit ability detection: air/towers/flare, ward, shade, unit ability (owl) fast unit: t3 melee, t2 melee, t1 melee, t1 range/ t2 range air units: 3, 2, 3, 5 Hero summons: normal, 2 units, no time limit, level increases number there are also a lot of dualities like stomp/clap, Paladin/deathknight and blizzard/rain of fire with interesting differences. just for fun ![]()

I think blight has been a somewhat disappointing aspect of multiplayer since it purely limits the race and doesn't provide any real benefits and there is a negative contrast with the vast undead bases you tend to face in the single player.
