Don't forget lmeta (and the friend lead) has an active that can bring your hp back above 50% without spending a turn... and orb trolling surely is a thing, it's just something you live with for 25x teams. There are multiple ways to deal with it nowadays too (Kirin teams usually have enough HP to survive a hit, U&Y has orb change, lKali has board refresh)
I have a friend who just started and rolled Neph in the last godfest. I told him then it was probably the best outcome out of the entire godfest lineup for him as a starter, but I just can't see it as a good card to transition into late game with, since they rapidly lose value as a sub, and any late game teams you build around her seem more like a luxury project than anything to me.
edit: editting in the response I am replying to, to prevent confusion.

Needing d/other colors might be difficult for a newer player. REM wise the same stuff for other black teams will probably work fine. I would probably field a team of subs like Yomi/Dmeta/Pandora/Haku with maybe something like DQ Hera for a gravity since you only need 3 to get her x3.
Honestly she will be pretty tanky, especially with +eggs and will have a fair amount of RCV.
Edit: Hell I just made a team of D/L Zeus/Dmeta/Haku/Pandora and it has over 34k hp. Swap in D/L Fagan for the Zeus and you get 33k HP and over 4k RCV.

Also since the recent hp buff meta teams are sitting at like 23k hp with some plus eggs... Which allows them to take hits much more easily and stay above the threshold. L meta is super super solid now after that hp buff.
Kirin and her 25x brethren can be played in a fashion that really minimizes orb trolling to the extent that you can get a 25x almost every board. It requires clearing excess and as such the skill to 6 combo average but I wouldn't recommend a 25x orb specific spike for a new person anyway.
I can definitely see use is Hathor. 20.25x is very respectable.

Fed my skill up fodder at the start of the event
Vishnu went 4/10 - quite happy about this. Went 0/5 in the first feed, wasn't expecting much. Next feed gives 4 skill ups \o/
Meimei went 3/15 - SUPER happy about this. Still 5 left to evolve, hopefully I get another one out of them
Parvati went 0/15 - meh.. she went 5/15 or something at the end of last event, and it's not like I have a spot on any team for her, but it would've been nice to see her maxed. Out of fodder now. At least I'll always be needing eco collab due to venus and loki lol.
skill up luck went to where it mattered so pretty happy about things. Guess I'll need to wait for green chaser again if I want max skilled meimei, but I rolled meimei way after I picked up all these green chasers from farming kodamas. The fact I managed to get skill ups out of them instead of throwing them away is a giant plus.

edit- just looking on padx, at level 24 they give just over 75,000 (same as a king dragon), and at level 32 they give just over 100,000. Both amounts are for same colour.
They drop at level 10 and to level it to 24 you'll need to feed it 96,513exp (for a return of 75,600).
To level it to 32 you'll need to feed it 214,888 exp (for a return of 100,800).
Doesn't seem to efficient to me, unless I'm misunderstanding something.
edit #2 - Ok, just reread the post and -Zoda- said they give around 50k exp. Padx says they give just over 50k exp (50,400) at level 16, and it only takes 26,439 exp to level them there from 10.
So yes, that does seem very efficient then. You're doubling your exp return by taking them to level 16. Yeah I just feed them 5 other mobs from the dungeon and let's go. If there's no +eggs, I usually have a little more than 5 so I feed them to a Chimera after two runs.

hmm would doing the mechdragon tech dungeon be better than just feeding off color pengdras? is the decent exp/coin you get from doing mechdragon worth it?

If you check PadGuide, it tells you what level you stop gaining xp from leveling up fodder. In the Mechdragons' case, it appears to be lv11. They give 30k if you just feed them normally, so you're losing about 6,000 xp if you raise them to lv16.
In any case, I'm pretty sure tier 6 and legendary dragons are way better fodder xp/stam. I haven't found a reason to farm Mechdragons yet.

And the +eggs drop rate is really great on mondays and "5x chance +eggs in technicals" event. It's also a choice outside of the game, a 50 sta dongeon is much fatser sta usage and gives me time to do something else. I didn't know about this function of PadGuide though, thanks for the tip.

Does anybody know when NA is supposed to get LKali skillups on Angelit? Did I miss it already? I'm sitting on 7 Angelits doing nothing, can't find the rotation schedule anywhere either.

That + the stamina overflow from stone usage should be coming really soon...we tend to get updates 3-4 weeks after them and I believe they got that update about 2 weeks ago.

Supposed to be some news announcement in the next stream. Maybe those are the changes being announced?

Got a few good 1.5x feeds (one on my snowglobe, one on 4 big pengdras and a king). Actually fed her up to 55 from all the fodder I was getting from farming earth insect dragon lol. The 1.5x snowglobe took her from 55 to 90 :D
Also, got another 2 skill ups on vishnu, but that was from 20 feeds :< But I guess he's at 6/30 now, lol. Trying to get as many skill ups today, because I won't be able to play as much on tuesday, and I want to avoid 3x invade rates next week, since the griffin is actually dangerous if I get an early invade where I'm stalling and moving onto next floors with less than 16k hp.
edit: wait i just realized the griffin only does 11k on legend lol. Still randomly dangerous though

Lol i think I give up on skilling up mei mei. I'm sitting on like 30 uneoved max level chasers but getting the masks and shit for them is so painful. Don't even know why im doing it considering ill probably never run athena.

I'm also 3 for 53 on change the world skill ups... I was actually getting mad at a cell phone game and decided to just try again next eco collab. I don't need a game to piss me off.

I farmed my masks from the dragon knight coin dungeon from the last rotation. Too late for you now, but I was getting on average 1 mask every run, which is pretty good.
I also remember farming wednesday 10 stamina non stop for baal, dino rider, and kurone skill ups, but I needed 3 different masks there, which made it a bit more worthwhile. I would only do this one if you eventually farm another couple batches of fodder that requires different masks. I noted that even without x2 drop, drops were very very close to 100%. There was only one run where I didn't get a drop from a floor, so I suspect the drop rate is for some reason set to 99%.
Those two options are probably the best for farming masks honestly.

One of the biggest weaknesses of LMeta teams is that you simply don't get many row enhances with L-rcv teammates. You get loads of dark-types with 2 row enhances...
