you need the game for 50 [currency] and you need to set up a subscription. then you get 1 month for free during which you COULD farm enough to buy ingame time and never have to activate you subscription.

You can buy it outright, or there's some guest pass codes which are pretty nice if you get one. I have a few left, but for EU. I think most of us are on EU. I would recommend guest pass if you have a system other than 2'nd-4'th gen intel + a decent nvidia graphics card, because AMD FX or older CPU's in general don't run the game so well, and it seems nor do AMD GPU's + their drivers. Super smooth sailing on decent intel+nvidia hardware though. Thanks for the reply. Hopefully someone will give me a guest pass <3

My thought exactly. This game is not F2P. It's more like Guildwar with a twist.

1: Never outlevel the zone your in. You want to be 1-2 levels below the mobs your are killing always, at least. The Exp drop off is massive, and its about the same difficulty. 2: Screw tasks. Ignore them. They don't exist. Every so often you see one that may seem fun to do, or easy to do, go ahead and do it. But most of the time, they are a waste of time and just a grind, with very little if any story attached. Basically just do the story quests, and move on. You will enjoy yourself much more AND level faster. + Show Spoiler + I feel really bad for people who are completionists, 100%ing a zone in this game is so painful.

But you should never feel like you should have to do the tasks. The important thing to do at the end of the day is to have fun. Grimvault omg so epic. the Drusara instances and the character development from the other zones set up for it to preform a really emotionaly driven experience.

I think i need to explicitly avoid stuff that doesn't really give exp either, because i found myself doing crap for half an hour and not really getting anything out of it. I was like 3 levels above the mobs for ages in the last zone, too

I don’t know how it is for other classes, but with my Esper (lvl 20) fighting against 3 level higher mobs is a pain in the ass, one add and you better run. Well… I maybe should start using some more healing spells but when I quested with lvl 19 against 22/3 mobs things were seriously harsh (possible but very unforgiving). I don’t know, maybe its easier for classes with more frontload dmg but when i miss a few builders or a finnisher things get ugly fast.

Well, when i was fighting mobs 3 levels below me, i could kill 5 of them by simply using empowered blade, whacking them once and then holding down the quad-attack thing. I have some combo's that do like twice their HP in only 3-4 seconds or so, as warrior - in AOE, i have had no challenge in terms of having life threatened unless i accidentally pull those mobs that have like 5-10x my HP because they look like kinda regular mobs and i'm not used to the game yet. I have several forms of CC though, the 3 second knockdown, the 2-target death grip+root @15 meter range and a 20 meter leap
