Things like world bosses and dungeons pre 50 seem to be there more for fun/a taster of whats to come, then to be a valid alternative to questing in terms of loot, it's one of the main complaints circulating the subreddit/forums. They're probably going to buff them a bit xp wise in the near future.
If you just want gear/to level asap then just ignore them, although you should definitely clear each dungeon at least once just for entertainment, it's so satisfying ^^
Once you hit 50 they suddenly become worth it though

Man, it's been so long since I've played a game and thought to myself "damnit, I don't have enough money to buy a mount".
Nostalgic bittersweet feeling lol

How do you guys make money?

I'm pretty low on money. I've been trying to leveling my Weaponsmithing as I go, so I've been salvaging greens/blues rather than selling them.
Although, I'm only 15 at this point, so I'm not surprised to be low on cash.

It seems the adventus path is weird, one rifle needs to build 2 pistols first, and it takes quite a certain amount of time. Also I don't see any adventus weapons in AH, can you actually sell them? this could be different now, but in beta, it was like this: there were 4 of each weapon, 2 DPS types and 2 tank/heal types. and they're labeled like PST-1 PST-2 PST-3 PST-4, with PST being an abbreviation for pistols, for example. you have to learn them in order. there's no "learn a pistol schematic to unlock an engi gun". you learn the first weapon to unlock the 2nd weapon of that type, and so on. as far as if you can sell them, if you used a BoE core, then the weapon was BoE. if you used a BoP core, the weapon was BoP. the vendor sold BoE cores for crafting vouchers and we got BoP cores from doing Siege of Tempest Refuge (silver or gold). the BoP cores had more power, so the crafter gets slightly better gear for himself. again, i dont know if any of that has changed.
Thanks for this info (:
i'm just picking it up myself
Targe, $188 for this?
I'm xAeryn on Havak dominion if anyone wants to add

Oh yeys people asking how to make money.
Take 2 gathering professions stright off the bat. having a crafting profession before max level is just bad and you don't want to do it for lots of reasons. Its a gold sink and you can just max it in a few hours for 2 plat at level 50 and get the same experience.
Which 2 gathering professions sermo? good qestion. the answer is mineing and survivalist. wood is good money and you get more supplies from regular mobs. you also get exp from killing regular mobs. Mineing is reliable adn good but the really good one is having a mineral desposit at your home so you can keep mineing it. Next upgrade the mineral desposit every time you get up a teir in the crafting. At some point you'll have a teir 4 mineing deposit (I got an elite beacuse I'm a boss) and you'll be rolling in plhat.
Keep an eye out on the minimap like in lol and sc2 when you're moving anywhere. you get seeds which give you lots of money when you put them in your garden at your houseing plot trees to chop down and mineing nodes. If you're lucky you'll get a mineing worm spawn and get a ton of nodes to mine in a cave and be super rich.
TLDR: gathering equals gold go mineing and survivalist and just pick up the stuff you see on your minimap. also use your houseing plot for the upgrading garden and mineral deposit.
PS never salvage stuff always vendor it. its less gold and just there for crafting mats.

Interesting that Wildstar came out June 4th and they still have an embargo on reviews.
I think it's a shrewd move by Carbine and NCSoft. They stand to gain a good number of customers across a wide spectrum:
(1) Preorder (unaffected by reviews) (2) Buy on release or following few days (more or less decided) (3) Buy several days or few weeks in, after reviews are not published timely (affected by reviews but rely on personal judgement) (4) Decide only after the verdict is out (dependent on reviews)
Delaying the climax/verdict ... hmm ... gives Carbine time to patch and improve Wildstar to attract type (4) customers.
It's also free marketing since the anticipation for the game lasts longer. When it starts to dies down, the embargo expires and publicity for Wildstar gets renewed.
My guess is that reviews will be posted next week, to avoid being overshadowed by E3.

I don't think there is a review embargo. I mean lots of game review sites delay MMO reviews have "reviews in progress" because it takes a while to play thru and give a proper review, but how do you stop someone from reviewing something that is released to the public? For example PC Gamer started their review in progress 6 days ago:
http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/06/03/wildstar-review-in-progress/
Gamespot started theirs 2 days ago:
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/wildstar-review-in-progress/1100-6420170/
and IGN started theirs 6 days ago:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/06/02/wildstar-review-in-progress

PS never salvage stuff always vendor it. its less gold and just there for crafting mats. Pretty much the same in any game. Any early level crafting (unless you're smurfing, I guess) is pretty much a trap. Get everything, sell everything unless you want to use it and then sell it later.
I mean, if you want to be more RP-y, then you can level up crafting while you're leveling your character, but for people looking to make money it's almost never worth it in MMOs.

I meant final reviews, not ones in progress. Review sites have to fill in viewers with what they have to attract/not lose traffic to rivals and publishers probably understand that, since what they all focus on is the final review scores and overall metacritic score
As to what's stopping professional gaming news outlets:: They rely on getting the earliest details, access, and copies from developers/publishers. Sure, they could break the agreement and publish a final review, but the broken trust would likely mean they'll be left out when their rival sites get access next time around. Plus it's unprofessional and affects their reputation within the industry.
As for smaller groups and individuals that just preorder/buy the game at launch - yeah they can do whatever they want. But usually these groups receive little attention that their verdicts go under the radar. Those in the middle who are breaking through and building connections with publishers and gaining advantages however, would probably have to be careful.

I've always preferred crafting as I level. I'm not surprised that I'm low on money, but I'm also not too concerned about it. Obviously two gathering professions would be better, but I like the "craft as you go" approach

Another benchmark, running around, killing stuff and cutting down trees:
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/nIEYuBa.png)
Max settings aside from dynamic shadows (off), view distance (512) and small object detail (low) - 1920x1080.
Haswell@4.5ghz, 2200c9 RAM and gtx770 @1280mhz core, 7600 VRAM
I removed the FPS cap with a console command, "/eval Apollo.SetConsoleVariable('video.framerateMax',x)" with the .x at the end being new FPS cap number
I keep hearing nothing but performance problems this, performance problems that - it keeps blowing up on the Subreddit, but aside from some particular people having major issues, it seems to me like the game has no problems most of the time - and i don't recall ever being below ~80% load on GPU while also being below ~80% load on highest load CPU core. What do you guys think?
my FPS -does- get cut in half when i look out away from a populated town and then turn around, but it drops like 140 to 70 and it stays up like the above benchmark when out and about questing, as well as doing that world boss with 6 people etc. I didn't see like 50 players in one place yet and i hear particle effects can be a problem, but a dev posted about adding a slider to control bloom and one to control particle effects etc in the future, so when that's done and some passing is done to fix a few problems that stick out with performance on a few areas, effects or setups, i think everyone with a fast CPU and a decent graphics card will have really awesome performance, and people with slower CPU's (fx) and cheaper graphics cards should still be able to run ok
