Having healing potions... and then not using them when necessary, is mind-boggling.
And im obviously not a DnD power gamer... because the whole buy a keep or something... seems like such a dumb concept... so will they just hang out with the 4 of them, in their building that they now own...alone ?
Not sure what you are watching man. Bregor fucking DIED. Neal isn't dicking them around - if you want to complain about it put it on shit like youtube.

You clearly didn't watch the show, most of the times they were challenged by a strong opponent (+ Show Spoiler +
like the Black Dragon mother after fighting the young ones; or the leader of the army sieging the Tower
) they had insane rolls and got very lucky; but that couldn't last forever, you can see that in the second to last episode...
There is no right way of playing a game like this other than trying to make decisions based on your character's personality, so there is no point in criticising how they play. Just enjoy the show or go do something else.

Those potions they are so conservative with, they are because they got them pretty much only when the party didn't have a cleric and Neil made them more common temporarily. When they're gone they're going to be almost impossible to replace. And they have so much GP because they go to every store and there aren't any potions / magic items / whatever to buy. It's all good though, because when they DO find something worth buying, all their money instantly goes to 0. And in the long run, they'll get to buy a keep or something.
In all truth, in video games most people hoard one shot items as well. I know that in all D&D cRPG games, I usually end up with more then I can carry.
Criticisms like maestrosc2's are so funny to me. You're mad because we play safe and careful? Really ? Sorry mate.. We like trying to live and are enjoying the item aspect of the game lol

Yeah, never use an item you can't buy in stores!
In fact, the only time I ever used all those items where in getting the alternate endings for chrono trigger. Defeating Lavos right at the start when you're down a party member... I never needed so many mega elixirs.

apologies, guess it was poor wording, Guess I just dont agree with some of your guys' decision making, but again i havent watched in months, and have only recently began trying to catch up on youtube, am only up to week 22 atm.
anyways I really enjoy the content, its how I get through work with a smile atm, sorry you took such offense to my opinion (tho it was admittedly poorly worded)
Hell, I disagree with my decision making, after the fact. I've thought a thousand ways to make our game more awesome, but that doesn't help after things already happened >_<

Well I was genuinely surprised when Neal was listing off Bregor's items and + Show Spoiler +
he said Bregor had a potion of extra healing. I thought he already used that in the dream world? Did that not count (it would be strange since his fire arrows did deplete)? Or, did Bregor have 2 potions of extra healing the entire time? I think during the battle with the Mist Dragon, Bregor took a regular healing potion. I get the feeling he didn't know he had a potion of extra healing or else he would've drank that instead.
Who knows though. Maybe he felt his life was high enough.
That's really the only time I felt they were being conservative with their potions in a detrimental way and it might not've even been intentional.
I am only on week 22 pt 1 (the only time i watch is during work..and i caught up on Aqcuisitions Inc before i started listening/watching again... but just wanted to say that it made me SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to see you guys using everything Roll20 had to offer....
and ofcourse i am talking about the battle map... it will literally save soooooooooo much time when either Neil or the players are trying to describe what they want to do
i hope they continue to use it to their advantage... a bunch of tech savvy people really should utilize all tools at their disposal imo
JP, your Youtube playlist of RollPlay series 3 is missing part 2, even though part 3 is up there, just so you know. ^_^ Part 2 can of course still be found through a search though (or checking your channel).

while i did post before i got to that point in the show, it seems like JP may be favoring the weapon a bit too much and for some speculation, since the weapons do have a mind of their own and seem to have a lot of pride in themselves and for the owners who carry them. The fact that vincent slapped him could have pissed off the weapon..
Rollplay tuesday 09:00 PM EDT // 02:00AM GMT, possibly. Incontrol's flying today to Blizzcon and thus would be in a hotel. Hotel Wifi's suck at times..
