I stoped playing this game when they began lowering the effectiveness of previous weapons to sell new weapons.
I still remmber when you could play defence missinos with Frost globe and a rocket launcher almost indefinitly (bare in mind it wasent easy in wave 50+, you still had to land every rocker perfectly not to get swarmed by overpowered enemies), and they kept nerfing it to a point where half of the warframes and weapons are flat out useless.

The way you improve a game is by adding new content that has to be adresed differently, not by forcing players to grind in order to ... keep grinding.

But.. that's not what's happening.

They nerfed all shotguns to have damage drop off (which made my beloved Hek obsolete) and nerfed some ammo counts that made no sense whatsoever but many older Warframes received buffs at some point.

The Boltor Prime is still one of the best primaries and has been since it was introduced in Update 12.4 (almost a year ago).
I still play mostly Loki Master Race and he's a first generation Warframe.
If you grind reputation on Draco your setup looks like 2x Excal, 1x Trinity, 1x buffer (which can be Rhino) - all first generation Warframes.
If you farm rare drops you probably go with 1x Mag, 1x Excal, 2x Nekros - first generation with exception of Nekros who was also introduced in 2013.

Yeah Mesa is pretty incredible for defense nowadays but you'll still want to bring a Frost if you don't have a Limbo available.

i'm still on my starter excal, do i just need better weapons to be able to do the higher level missions? or do the mods on my warframe matter a lot too

this game has many flaws. the p2w model brings a lot of bottlenecks that can only be addressed with the most painful and boring grinding, or with real money.

the maps are repetitive.

the p2w is extreme, with platinum you can buy credits. "forma" and potatoes. the farm of those components is monotonous. i.e. want 10k of credits? go and make 3!!!! times the same invasion mission.

if really blizzard or other big company makes a game like this then warframe will be a desolate place

the games has some interesting concepts, but the p2w model makes this game subpar, considering there are other f2p games.

Yay I finally got Rank 2 Mastery doing 1-6 Defense Missions and getting carried by high levels. Anyone know if a Synoid Gammacor is worth 50p? Also can i use it at Rank 2?

I'd say most people would pay 50p for the Synoid Gammacor if they have nothing to trade it for.

Arch-wing tactical alert is pretty neat. The 300 kill bonus is a catalyst so it's worth the investment in playing about 6-8 rounds of 4 waves.

Recommend level 20+ arch-gear if you want to hold your own. The enemies can get up to level 28 and are armored.

Anniversary is this week so you can log in to receive two weapons (first anniversary's Dex Furis, and the new Dex Dakra) and two slots to go with them. Also, I've landed in an active clan that is part of an alliance if people are coming back to the game to check things out and need a clan (you'll need one to make the new warframe, Chroma). How does the size of the community affect you as a solo player? Not meant to be offensive, I really don't understand.

Also: There's currently an average of almost 21k people playing at all times according to http://steamcharts.com/app/230410. It is currently the 5th most played game on steam according to http://steamcharts.com/top.

I have no clue what this "twitch scene" is you're talking about so unfortunately I can't comment on that.

i quite often have trouble finding a party for missions, especially when i'm just trying to proceed, but the grinding survival, interception and defence missions are always populated

Ah I see, yeah that's indeed an issue. Hopefully the next rework of the star chart will fix or at least improve this. Might be a few months before we see that happening though.
