49€ on GAME for example. Retail is normally cheaper most of the time, since they have to compete with the commodity of steam :p

We were all fooled into thinking games would be far cheaper when sold digitally.

But either you just say fuck retailers, or you, as a publisher, have to shallow it to be able to sell your console games.

only problem being that in literally every game store in Scotland you will get maybe TWO at most wall "segments" for PC games but thats in the biggest stores. the one in my town centre does not actually sell PC games, so digital is sorta required and yes it does suck that the newest CoD or Battlefield get more space on their own than the entire PC game stock.
i mean TESCO's a supermarket sells more PC games and cheaper than a dedicated game retailer (i got skyrim for £20 within a few weeks of launch it was goooood)

awesome, I never understood why people complain about AI in total war games, they have unrealistic expectations. As long as that + some bugs are all that's wrong, then I am fucking excited!!!
Man I actually can't believe this is happening, like I genuinely have been hoping for this for years, with an intensity and fervour that surpasses almost all other desire I have had for other games.

Lol yeah, people actually expect the AI to be good from CA vanilla release? This is news to me. The AI hasn't improved one bit since Rome I, or even before that... with the exception of Empire, where the AI at release was down right retarded with downs syndrome (not to disrespect the mentally hendicapped), and then they patched up with to their "standard" stupid AI with napoleon.

I wanted to punch them through my monitor because they were talking about the interface being bad... for having to mouseover to actually understand things. Wtf.

To be fair, it seemed like a legit complaint about food not having a tool tip or explanation, but it was particularly cringe worthy when the one guy was talking about it taking about instant gratification vs having to actually learn a little to understand a strategy game.

Well, as one person on another forum posted, that's what happens when you have a bunch of CoD players reviewing complex games.

The dude was complaining about not knowing what Zeal is, and having to mouseover the stat Zeal to understand what it actually does. Man, we used to fucking read the manuals to know that kind of shit back in my day. 100-300 small pages manuals, that you read flying because you were so fucking excited about how much stuff the game had.

So class that people still do that nowadays.
I probably would have if the nearest GameStop were less than an hour away.

I paid $45 for my pre-order through GreenManGaming.

*falls over from the icy dagger you plunged into my chest*... X-D

Haha well for anyone who knows every total war game inside out I highly doubt it will take more than 5 minutes to get to grips with :D

I think it was more that the upgrade that gave Zeal didn't tell you anything else like it's an ability or where to find more details. Sure, it's a minor complaint that is easily glossed over by looking in the manual or online wiki, but a little additional info wouldn't hurt.

it's IGN guys what do you expect. All they do is sell out to publishers and employ retards

IGN has listed Rome I as one of the 10 most influential, and one of their favorite, PC games of all time. I agree that they sell-out on a lot of titles, but they're genuine fans of Total War.

Still, being fan doesn't mean you know shit about what makes a good game or not. I really hate when people give review when they clearly are not in the position to do so.

Are there any unit/stats lists out yet?

I personally hate mouse overs. Thats an idea straight from hell.
