Which is retarded, a lot of people play the market and are totally legitimate players. Or they just gather or craft for an hour a day.
They better make this right quickly.
Have no idea what you're talking about. I have tons of gil in FF14 and I have not been banned. Don't talk to RMT or don't actually RMT. This sounds a lot like when peoples d3 was "getting hacked" and everyone blamed blizzard. We have plenty of crafters in my FC that make bank, people selling HM titan runs for 200k making bank, and none of them have an issue.
Lol the bans were hilarious, well SE has always been incompetent. Luckily for me I spent all my gil on materia and HQ sets for all the crafting professions that I will be leveling in the near future...otherwise I would be on the phone right now calling SE at an absurd non toll free rate.
EDIT: The numbers are apparently >8mil on non legacy and >2 mil on the newly created servers.
God damn, Titan was a fucking pain with Duty Finder even though the tank was really good. How can you be braindead as DPS when it's the easiest role? "What do you mean don't get pushed off the cliff and destroy the rock?" Almost ran out of MP because I had to kill the fucking rock twice despite being a healer because DPS too much of an idiot. Failed around 10 times before finally clearing it.
Oh but the tank calling me "a fucking hero" made up for it

Well there's a reason they are in Duty finder instead of doing it with a guild. Saying dps is the easiest class is funny though. Everyone in my FC agrees that tanks are stupidly easy.
titan fight is very easy as tank, all you had to do is sit there and not move and spam buttons, while the dps has to dodge left and right, the healers have spam heals while dodging left and right. Tanking titan is by far the easier task of that particular fight.

That's probably why he seemed good, but he did never fail anything so I still give him points...
I think healer is the most difficult job there, keeping everyone up after the huge AoEs while keeping the tank alive was a gigantic pain in the ass. I could be biased though.
Still the difficulty is ramping up pretty heavily, I wonder when it becomes nearly impossible to clear with random duty finder groups.

Pretty sure he is talking about story mode Titan, which TBH everything is pretty easy.

Hard mode titan is the only one nearly impossible to do with Duty finder, though there are still people who managed it.

I'm curious, why is it so difficult to do with Duty Finder? What is in it that is difficult for random people to handle?
Yup storymode titan, and yup everything was pretty easy apart from danger of running out of mana

It's not meant to be done with duty finder. The second tank serves no purpose other than to bring the party down. The people that use duty finder are undergeared as hell 90% of the time and don't know the fights. If they do know the fight they lag atrociously and blame that for why they fall off. One of my guildies did it with duty finder after like 20 hours.
Edit: Also, because DF you don't get bards always. You have to have bards in that fight for mages ballad. BLM is really bad against titan because he doesnt have time to cast shit after 50%. We did 4 bards 1 dragoon 1 pally and 2 heals. I've seen it done with only 1 healer and 6dps.
On September 28 2013 14:47 Shikyo wrote: So basically, in the endgame Bard is way more wanted than other DPS, though melee DPS are also needed for limit break?
How about Summoner, is it useless?
Bard is more wanted for a multitude of reasons. Very high dps, very moble dps, and obviously the mana song. You want usually one melee at most (I'm a drg and the only geared drg in my guild so i get in usually :D).
Summoner right now is in a weird place, dps parsers dont recognize the damage properly (if you crit when you put a dot down it counts every tick as a crit. It also counts dots as fully ran even if the mob teleports and loses the debuff). But, they're thought to be the highest dps class in the game in a sustained fight. Some numbers people from guild throw out is between 240 and 330 depending on the parser.
Edit: Our two coil groups right now are 2x pally, WHM, SCH, 2xBRD, 1BLM and then one group has a monk and one group has a DRG.
I know people from Moogle that's above threshold and not banned. Either people posting it are misunderstanding or support just saying general things rather than call people cheaters in their face.
BTW, I think the dots not ticking the full duration is just a myth. Regen has been ticking 7 times every time I've tested it.
It makes sense, too. Server ticks are 3 seconds, and it has a 3 second window to tick once to tick for the full duration. The only other way is if it in reality has 8 ticks, but in that case I didn't get that even once during around 20 tests so I'd say that that's a bonus, not a penalty.
ragz_gt, you have a max level Lancer, right? Is it at all possible to seamlessly fit in a Jump in between 2 GCD abilities?

What are you talking about with the dot thing? I've never seen anyone say that dots don't tick full duration.
As to jumping, no you cannot fit a jump seamlessly between two GCD's. As a DRG you want a GCD of 2.4 seconds so that when you re-rotate heavy thrust and your ID comboes you don't lose the 10% buff before you reapply it. Jumps take about 2.9 seconds to complete. It is still faster to use them over just waiting for a gcd to wear off but you are losing about .5 seconds of activation.
I've heard from numerous places that dots don't tick the full duration...
Even videos like this:
And hmm I see, so with Dragoon you can get quite a bit of burst damage by utilizing your jumps properly(though super risky if the enemy can AoE I guess)

I haven't had issues with my dots not ticking full duration O.o. Phlebotomize, fracture, chaos thrust.
Yeah they're good for a bit more burst because DRG burst isn't that great. My one complaint is the hitbox while jumping is the trashiest thing I've ever seen. For the regular jump (the one that returns you to your initial position) your hitbox is the initial position + all distance traveled during the jump. So if you jump and he does any AOE you're fucked.
Finally got my Thyrus last night, feels good. Now I'm not sure if I should hunt down an FC or work on my weaving/botany then transfer to another server.
